Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer hat ihren Aufstieg zur Parteivorsitzenden der CDU einzig und allein der direkten und indirekten Hilfe Angela Merkels zu verdanken. Damit wird die tiefe Krise der CDU noch verschärft, auch wenn sie nicht offen ausbricht. Es ist zu erwarten, dass viele Wähler der CDU sich in die innere Migration begeben werden, beziehungsweise endgültig mit dem System abschließen, sodass sie weder SPD, Grüne, FDP oder Linke wählen werden. Die tiefe Spaltung der deutschen Gesellschaft wird nicht durch AKK überwunden werden können, da die Sozialisierung und die jetzige Führung der CDU zum größten Teil von Merkel beeinflusst worden ist, die die Hauptschuld an der Spaltung der Gesellschaft trägt. Betrachtet man nüchtern die Bilanz der CDU der letzten 70 beziehungsweise 13 Jahre und die Bilanz der AKK im Saarland als Ministerpräsidentin, so muss man ernste Sorge um Deutschland haben, wenn AKK Kanzlerin werden sollte. Feststeht, dass AKK nur eine mittelmäßige Bilanz im Saarland aufzuweisen hat. Feststeht auch, dass AKK keinen anderen Beruf als den einer Parteisoldatin beziehungsweise einer Parteifunktionärin ausgeübt hat. Sie hat außerdem keinerlei internationale Erfahrungen, hat zu keinem Zeitpunkt ein strategisches Bundesministerium geführt und bei allem Respekt: das Saarland mit 950.000 Einwohnern ist sogar kleiner als die Stadt Köln. Sie hat zu keiner Zeit strategische Eckpunkte für Deutschland angedacht oder mitgeteilt, versucht ihre Kritiker mit pseudo-didaktischen Methoden an sich zu binden. Die Biographie von AKK ist nicht die typische Biographie einer Konservativen. Große Teile der Konservativen sind Angela Merkel mehr als leid und wären nicht mehr bereit, eine "Angela Merkel mit leichten Korrekturen" zu ertragen. Insoweit ist festzuhalten, dass AKK für die CDU die falsche Frau, an der falschen Stelle und zum falschen Zeitpunkt ist.

In the late 1970s, the alternative comedy scene exploded into life in Britain and completely changed the style, subject matter and politics of British stand-up. Contemporary critics talked about it as 'anti-matter comedy' that 'makes you laugh while actually rearranging large chunks of your brain'. This book draws on a wealth of archive material – including unpublished recordings of early performances – and new interviews with key figures such as Alexei Sayle, Andy de la Tour and Jim Barclay, to provide a detailed history of the early scene and an examination of the distinctive modes of performance style which developed. Beginning with its origins, the volume traces the influence of American stand-up, and in particular the significance of Mort Sahl and Lenny Bruce as the originators of a style of stand-up that influenced the British pioneers of alternative comedy. It shows how the opening of the Comedy Store in 1979 provided a catalyst for a new movement, which grew outward from there with the foundation of the group Alternative Cabaret and the opening of the Comic Strip. But it also looks at smaller venues and less celebrated acts that have not been as well remembered, including ranting poets and street performers. Finally, it looks at alternative comedy's legacy, showing how it was the starting point for the UK's thriving and varied live scene, which encompasses anything from small pub gigs to huge arena tours.
