Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Kunst - Sonstiges, Note: 1,3, Universitat Trier, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit beschaftigt sich mit der Art und Weise, wie die kurdischen Kunstler Şener Ozmen und Erkan Ozgen ihre eigene Position als Kunstler in der Gesellschaft inszenieren und so die prekare Situation der turkischen Kunstszene um 2000 vermitteln. Dabei dient die Geschichte des Don Quijote als Sinnbild fur die scheinbare Ausweglosigkeit der Kunst der Turkei, beim Versuch sich aus der Peripherie ins westliche Kunstzentrum zu manovrieren. Fiktion und Realitat werden gegenubergestellt. Tragik und Komik des Videos werden deutlich, sobald der Rezipient die Romanvorlage erkennt und um deren Handlung wei. In diesem Kontext entwickelt sich ein komplementares Verhaltnis von nichtwissendem Akteur und wissendem Betrachter. Um die Geschichte des tragischen Antihelden auf die turkische Kunst- und Kulturszene ubertragen zu konnen, ist zunachst die ikonographische Beschreibung der Videoarbeit notwendig. Im Anschluss gilt es, die wichtigsten Szenen des Videos herauszuarbeiten und mit der literarischen Vorlage zu vergleichen. Daruber hinaus erfolgt die Verknupfung der Ergebnisse mit den Entwicklungen der Istanbuler und insbesondere der sudostanatolischen Kunstszene des letzten Jahrzehnts. Wobei die Frage beantwortet wird, ob Şener Ozmen, Erkan Ozgen - als Vertreter der KunstlerInnen mit kurdischen Wurzeln - und im ubertragenen Sinne zeitgenossische KunstlerInnen der Turkei am Ziel angekommen sind.
