Anfang der aOer Jahre begannen die deutschen GroBbanken, Strategien fUr die letzten Dekaden des Jahrhunderts zu formulieren. Zwar gab es auch zuvor stra tegische Uberlegungen und Vorhaben, aber die meisten Unternehmensberater und Theoretiker an den Universitaten und Forschungsinstituten hatten noch nicht das "Strategiedefizit" der GroBbanken erkannt und eine eigene Sprache dafOr gefaBt. Dies hat sich rasch geandert. In der Zwischenzeit gilt alles, was nicht Tagesgeschaft ist, bei vielen schon als Strategie. Unter den Stichworten "Erosion der Kundenbasis", "AusschOpfung des Kunden und Marktpotentials", "Cross-selling", "Auslastung der Vertriebskanale" und vieler anderer Schlagworte mehr hat sich bei den verschiedenen Instituten und deren Stabsabteilungen ein StrategiebewuBtsein etabliert, das vor allem in der Entwicklung von Allfinanzstrategien resultierte. Wie sich dies im Geschaft mit Privatkunden bei drei GroBbanken entwickelt hat, zeigt Volkhardt Kruse recht anschaulich in der vorliegenden Studie. DaB sich die "Allfinanzidee" bei diesen Instituten unterschiedlich entwickelt hat und sich unabhangig weiterzuentwickeln scheint, ist besonders interessant. Es wird sich in den nachsten Jahren zeigen, ob es eine Konvergenz zwischen den einzelnen Wegen geben wird, oder ob ein Weg sich als der zukunftsweisende herausstellt. M6glich ist auch, daB es verschiedene profitable L6sungen gibt.
