Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Sport, Sportpädagogik, Note: 1,3, Technische Universität Darmstadt (Institut für Sportwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Schulmethodisches Seminar, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Unterrichtsbeobachtung wurde im Rahmen des Schulmethodischen Seminars für Lehrämter am Gymnasium im Fach Sport durchgeführt. Gerade als Sportlehrer sieht man sich ständig mit der Beobachtung konfrontiert, zudem kommt der Beobachtung ein wesentlich erhöhter Stellenwert zu als in anderen Schulfächern, da sich der Unterricht im Raum vollzieht und die Schüler zumeist in Bewegung sind. Ferner liegt dieser erhöhte Stellenwert darin begründet, dass die Beobachtung leitend für das Handeln des Sportlehrers während des Unterrichts ist und beispielsweise die Grundlage für die Leistungsbewertung darstellt. Daher erscheint es sinnvoll, bereits im Studium sich mit der Unterrichtsbeobachtung vertraut zu machen. Es sollen daher in dieser Arbeit zum einen die durchgeführte „allgemeine Unterrichtsbeobachtung“, die sich auf die im Unterricht aufgetretenen Inhalte, methodischen Maßnahmen und Organisationsformen konzentriert und zum anderen eine „spezifische Unterrichtsbeobachtung“ unter dem Aspekt der Bewegungskorrektur dargestellt werden.

This book reports the findings from the tri-national video study Quality of Instruction in Physics (QuIP). Within the scope of the QuIP study, physics instruction was investigated in a total of 103 classes from-Finland, North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) and German-speaking Switzerland. The main aim was to identify typical patterns of physics instruction of the three samples and to investigate conditions under which these patterns are successful with respect to students' learning, interest and motivation. Among others instructional characteristics, the quality of students' practical work, successful patterns of sequencing, the subject matter structure and teaching strategies were investigated by means of analyses of video-recorded lessons. Variables external to instruction that were investigated included teachers' professional knowledge and students' cognitive abilities. The study followed a pre-post-design with data collection prior to and after an instructional unit on electrical energy and power. The results are well in line with the findings from large-scale international studies indicating a particularly successful instructional pattern in Finland. A comparison of characterisation of instruction in comparison between the three countries reveals important findings for the improvement of the teaching and learning of physics in secondary school education.

This volume presents a mix of translations of classical and modern papers from the German Didaktik tradition, newly prepared essays by German scholars and practitioners writing from within the tradition, and interpretive essays by U.S. scholars. It brings this tradition, which virtually dominated German curricular thought and teacher education until the 1960s when American curriculum theory entered Germany--and which is now experiencing a renaissance--to the English-speaking world, where it has been essentially unknown. The intent is to capture in one volume the core (at least) of the tradition of Didaktik and to communicate its potential relevance to English-language curricularists and teacher educators. It introduces a theoretical tradition which, although very different in almost every respect from those we know, offers a set of approaches that suggest ways of thinking about problems of reflection on curricular and teaching praxis (the core focus of the tradition) which the editors believe are accessible to North American readers--with appropriate "translation." These ways of thinking and related praxis are very relevant to notions such as reflective teaching and the discourse on teachers as professionals. By raising the possibility that the "new" tradition of Didaktik can be highly suggestive for thinking through issues related to a number of central ideas within contemporary discourse--and for exploring the implications of these ideas for both teacher education and for a curriculum theory appropriate to these new contexts for theorizing, this book opens up a gold mine of theoretical and practical possibilities.
