American Marxism - A Comprehensive Summary Mark distinguishes the origin of this danger — Marxism — as the evil, idealistic philosophy "liable for the subjugation, impoverishment, torment, and demise of untold millions." But he goes further and conveniently labels the specific brand of this threat as "American Marxism": "the application and adaption of center Marxist lessons to American culture and culture." What makes the traditionalists especially perilous is their modern methods of misshaping language, camouflaging their actual expectation with beguiling doublespeak to incapacitate nationalists and work with their plan to generally change this country into something unrecognizable to its authors and entirely unsuitable to all who value and worship the sublime American trial in self-administration. They've called themselves "reformists," "social activists," and other harmless-sounding titles since they know that Americans still reject Marxism by the grace of God. All the more as of late, they work under such associations as Black Lives Matter, shrouding their enmity of industrialist plans in a veneer of racial, ecological, or sexual equity. They have foisted their once-scorned idea of basic race hypothesis into the cutting edge of our lives, constraining this perilous way of thinking into standard cultural acknowledgment. Race turmoil isn't their lone weapon. They've accomplished significant headway of their plan through disruptive class fighting, which energizes their ruinous arrangements of profane shortage spending, exorbitant tax assessment, and runaway administrative and regulatory guideline. Their bold work of character governmental issues is only one of numerous bolts in their quiver. They extend their munitions stockpile to guarantee that specific difficulties won't conclusively ruin their plan. To support their bases, they elevate extra-constitutional plans to squash their resistance through apparently lawful means, for example, changing the democratic principles to fix the battleground for their up-and-comers. For the sake of saving our vote-based cycles, they distort them — disappointing individuals while professing to secure their democratic rights. We saw this on the front pages recently when President Joe Biden ludicrously contended that such political race uprightness measures as citizen ID were the best danger to the American vote-based system since the Civil War. He likewise scored a twofer, as he summoned race — repeating his party’s position that these laws are another type of terrible Jim Crow enactment. Anybody with half a brain perceives that taking out the necessity of demonstrating one's way of life as a condition to casting a ballot obliterates instead of shields the respectability of the political decision measure. Anybody with an atom of wisdom comprehends that to compare citizen ID laws to suppression of the Black vote is the most exceedingly terrible sort of belittling affront to Black electors, who these revolutionaries infer aren't equipped for outfitting evidence of their own character. The Yankee International written by Timothy Messer-Kruse and has been published by Univ of North Carolina Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2000-11-09 with History categories.

Examining the social and intellectual collision of the American reform tradition with immigrant Marxism during the Reconstruction era, Timothy Messer-Kruse charts the rise and fall of the International Workingman's Association (IWA), the first international socialist organization. He analyzes what attracted American reformers--many of them veterans of antebellum crusades for abolition, women's rights, and other radical causes--to the IWA, how their presence affected the course of the American Left, and why they were ultimately purged from the IWA by their orthodox Marxist comrades. Messer-Kruse explores the ideology and activities of the Yankee Internationalists, tracing the evolution of antebellum American reformers' thinking on the question of wage labor and illuminating the beginnings of a broad labor reform coalition in the early years of Reconstruction. He shows how American reformers' priority of racial and sexual equality clashed with their Marxist partners' strategy of infiltrating trade unions. Ultimately, he argues, Marxist demands for party discipline and ideological unity proved incompatible with the Yankees' native republicanism. With the expulsion of Yankee reformers from the IWA in 1871, American Marxism was divorced from the American reform tradition.

A crown jewel of New Left historiography, this overview of U.S. Marxism was hailed on its first publication for its nuanced storytelling, balance and incredible sweep. Brimming over with archival finds and buoyed by the recollections of witnesses and participants in the radical movements of decades past, Marxism in the United States includes fascinating accounts of the immigrant socialism of the nineteenth century, the formation of the CPUSA in the wake of the Bolshevik Revolution, the rise of American communism and of the hugely influential Popular Front in the 1920s and '30s, the crisis and split of the '50s, and the revival of Marxism in the '60s and '70s. This revised and updated edition also takes into account the last quartercentury of life in the U.S., bringing the story of American Marxism up to the present. The Marxism is a wrecking ball ideology meant to demolish the capitalist society and its flagship, the USA, in order to establish an utopia that never ever worked, wherever it was tried. The capitalism is not the problem and the socialism is not the solution. Granted, that there are social inequities which historically, coexisted with us since we exited the caves, the process of righting everything through a massive revolutionary insurrection is a fallacy. Marx and Engels started from the premise that the class warfare is the motor of progress that ultimately, will put in power the working class as the ruling force, when, in fact, every revolution was hijacked by those who engineered it. Every country which adhered to the Marxist principles experienced a severe drop in standards of living, jettisoning all civil liberties and human rights that the promoters of Marxism professed to champion. This book examines the philosophical basis of Marxism, its beginning and the lengthy process of development, stopping to examine its corollary or competing branches, from classical Marxists to contemporary "scientific" Marxists. The conclusion of this author is that none of the Marxists ever ceased to eye the destruction of the USA. They only changed their tactics, from an approach through grass-roots uprisings, as it was envisioned during the last two centuries, to a frontal attack, through total penetration into the governing structures. During the last 50 years the Marxist were able to place their operatives at every single level of our government, with the goal of creating a massive welfare state, where the masses of 'useful idiots', (this expression belongs to Lenin), would march to the beat of a single drum, marking the final demise of the middle class, which 'carries the seeds of capitalism'. The only real obstacles in the path of the rapid destruction of the traditional American society, are the US Constitution, which is a 'bad example for the rest of the world', together with our Judeo-Christian heritage, with its moral tenets which do not allow murder, theft, adultery, etc. The destruction of family, as the basic social institution, is a major goal in subverting civil life to the goals of the Marxist movements, together with the promotion of homosexuality. The process of degrading public education, by adopting irrelevant curricula, goes hand in hand with the socialist goals of creating a 'different type of human being' immune from conscientious moral restraint, just as Lenin proposed. At a closer scrutiny it seems that the Marxist movements find unlikely allies: the Nazis and the Muslims, both dead set to transform the world into a dictatorship with two classes only: rulers and slaves. The only chance of survival for our society, is offered by a solid education on this subject, so that a working class member can recognize all the deceptions, by steering clear of the propaganda meant to confuse. Survive and save your station in life, by resisting Marxism every way you can, if even if it means to go against the government's force. There is no acceptable alternative.

In this timely book, American Marxism: How a New Cold War Drives the Progressives' Agenda, author William Reeves takes a close look at the history of Marxism. It examines the evolution of socialism, how it was refined over the course of several decades by neo-Marxists from an economic theory to a social science to a political and cultural path to power. It highlights how today's progressives--who have overtaken Liberals in setting the agenda for the American Left--have used Cultural Marxism to construct a divisive and hypocritical platform that flies in the face of every ideal put forth by our Founding Fathers.Learn more about how the tenants of Marxism have been rebranded as progressivism, and how this tired and failed philosophy has enveloped a far left that is bent on the destruction of America. Discover what this toxic ideology means for the future of our country and how this movement is used by those in the arts, the media and academia to negatively influence what American's can and should believe about our nation. By discussing both the history of Marxism and how it is being applied by the leftist political movement in an effort to win the hearts and minds of Americans, we can better understand the intentions of their agenda and develop counter measures to expose it. William Reeves holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in urban studies and a Master of Arts degree in economics. He has enjoyed a lengthy career as a public policy and government relations consultant, writer and educator and lives with his family in Southern California.

No topic in American historiography has been more hotly debated than the role played by Marxism in the social and political life of the United States. Until now, most accounts have been partisan—either attacking Marxism as an alien ideology, or defending it as the authentic expression of the political will of the American working class. Paul Buhle has produced the first overview of American Marxism to go beyond this opposition. His account ranges from the immigrant socialism of the nineteenth century to the formation of the CPUSA in the wake of the Bolshevik revolution, the rise of American communism in the 1920s and 1930s, the crisis and split in 1957, and the revival of Marxism outside the Communist Party in the 1960s and 1970s. Brimming over with historical detail and grounded in substantial original research, Marxism in the United States provides a balanced account of the strengths and weaknesses that have characterized the history of American Marxism. This revised edition assesses the new challenges facing the American left in the 1990s.
