Sejak Sumpah Pemuda, patik ingin merdéka.” Sungguh suatu peristiwa tragis, orang yang sejak muda giat dalam usaha memperjuangkan kemerdékaan bangsa dan negara, setelah cita-cita itu tercapai dan dia sendiri ikut duduk dalam pemerintahan sebagai tanda bahwa jasa-jasanya sebagai pejuang kemerdékaan diketahui dan diakui, malah menjadi kurban “révolusi sosial” yang menurut Suprayitno “lebih merupakan pembunuhan dan penjarahan daripada sebuah révolusi sosial."
