Introduction to the Operational Calculus is a translation of "Einfuhrung in die Operatorenrechnung, Second Edition." This book deals with Heaviside's interpretation, on the Laplace integral, and on Jan Mikusinki's fundamental work "Operational Calculus." Throughout the book, basic algebraic concepts appear as aids to understanding some relevant points of the subject. An important field for research in analysis is asymptotic properties. This text also discusses examples to show the potentialities in applying operational calculus that run beyond ordinary differential equations with constant coefficients. In using operational calculus to solve more complicated problems than those of ordinary differential equations with constant coefficients, the concept of convergence assumes a significant role in the field of operators. This book also extends the Laplace transformation and applies it to non-transformable functions. This text also present three methods in which operational calculus can be modified and become useful in solving specific ranges of problems. These methods pertain to the finite Laplace transformation, to partial differential equations, and to the Volterra integral equations and ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients. This book can prove valuable for mathematicians, students, and professor of calculus and advanced mathematics.

The aim of this book is to make accessible to mathematicians, physicists and other scientists interested in qunatum theory, the beautiful but mathematically difficult subjects of the Feynman integral and Feynman's operational calculus. Some advantages of the approaches to the Feynman integral which are treated in detail in this book are the following: the existence of the Feynman integral is established for very general potentials in all four cases; under more restrictive but still broad conditions, three of these Feynman integrals agree with one another and with the unitary group from the usual approach to quantum dynamics; these same three Feynman integrals possess pleasant stability properties. Much of the material covered here was previously available only in the research literature, and the book also contains some new results. The background material in mathematics and physics that motivates the study of the Feynman integral and Feynman's operational calculus is discussed, and detailed proofs are provided for the central results.

Improper Riemann Integrals written by Ioannis Roussos and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-09-27 with Mathematics categories.
The scope of this book is the improper or generalized Riemann integral and infinite sum (series). The reader will study its convergence, principal value, evaluation and application to science and engineering. Improper Riemann integrals and infinite sums are interconnected. In the new edition, the author has involved infinite sums more than he did in the first edition. Apart from having computed and listed a large number of improper integrals and infinite sums, we have also developed the necessary theory and various ways of evaluating them or proving their divergence. Questions, problems and applications involving various improper integrals and infinite sums (series) of numbers emerge in science and application very often. Their complete presentations and all rigorous proofs would require taking the graduate-level courses on these subjects. Here their statements are adjusted to a level students of all levels can understand and use them efficiently as powerful tools in a large list of problems and applications.

This book contains papers on mathematical modeling and simulation of processes in various areas: in ecology and the environment, manufacturing and energetics, information technology, samples of special purpose equipment and cyber-physical systems. In the context of comprehensive digitalization, computer modeling becomes a direct component of creating and operating modern complex multi-domain systems. The outcomes presented in the book will be useful to specialists involved in the modeling of real-world and cyber-physical systems, physical processes simulation, management and decision-making models, functioning and cybersecurity models, modeling software and tools. Scientists have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest research in a variety of solutions proposed by leading scientists and to determine promising directions for solving complex scientific and practical tasks. Chapters of this book contain papers presented at the 19th MODS International Conference, November 11–13, 2024, Chernihiv, Ukraine.

The Prehistory Of The Theory Of Distributions written by J. Lützen and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Mathematics categories.
I first learned the theory of distributions from Professor Ebbe Thue Poulsen in an undergraduate course at Aarhus University. Both his lectures and the textbook, Topological Vector Spaces, Distributions and Kernels by F. Treves, used in the course, opened my eyes to the beauty and abstract simplicity of the theory. However my incomplete study of many branches of classical analysis left me with the question: Why is the theory of distributions important? In my continued studies this question was gradually answered, but my growing interest in the history of mathematics caused me to alter my question to other questions such as: For what purpose, if any, was the theory of distributions originally created? Who invented distributions and when? I quickly found answers to the last two questions: distributions were invented by S. Sobolev and L. Schwartz around 1936 and 1950, respectively. Knowing this answer, however, only created a new question: Did Sobolev and Schwartz construct distributions from scratch or were there earlier trends and, if so, what were they? It is this question, concerning the pre history of the theory of distributions, which I attempt to answer in this book. Most of my research took place at the History of Science Department of Aarhus University. I wish to thank this department for its financial and intellectual support. I am especially grateful to Lektors Kirsti Andersen from the History of Science Department and Lars Mejlbo from the Mathematics Department, for their kindness, constructive criticism, and encouragement.

This textbook provides an introduction to modern analysis aimed at advanced undergraduate and graduate-level students of mathematics. Professional academics will also find this to be a useful reference work. It covers measure theory, basic functional analysis, single operator theory, spectral theory of bounded and unbounded operators, semigroups of operators, and Banach algebras. Further, this new edition of the textbook also delves deeper into C*-algebras and their standard constructions, von Neumann algebras, probability and mathematical statistics, and partial differential equations. Most chapters contain relatively advanced topics alongside simpler ones, starting from the very basics of modern analysis and slowly advancing to more involved topics. The text is supplemented by many exercises, to allow readers to test their understanding and practical analysis skills.
