Le travail présenté dans cette thèse a pour thème l'identification des systèmes par les modèles continus linéaires, à paramètres invariants au cours du temps. Il concerne plus précisément l'analyse, la mise en ouevre et l'étude comparative de 17 méthodes d'estimation paramétrique d'une représentation continue directement à partir des données d'entrées/sorties échantillonnées. Ce travail est divisé en quatre parties principales. La première présente la problématique de l'identification continue et illustre l'intérêt de cette approche par rapport à l'identification classique de modèles discrêts à l'aide d'exemples simples et didactiques. La deuxième est dédiée à l'analyse des 17 méthodes. Celles-ci sont classées en 3 grandes familles que sont les méthodes des filtres linéaires, des fonctions modulatrices et intégrales. Ces techniques consistent à s'affranchir du problème mié à la dérivation des signaux d'entrées/sorties en leur appliquant des transformations linéaires. La troisième traite des aspects liés à la mise en ouvre numérique ainsi qu'au choix des paramètres de synthèse de chaque approche. Cette étude menée sur des exemples de simulation, a permis non seulement de proposer une méthodologie de choix de ceux-ci, d'exposer clairement les avantages et les limitations de chaque technique, mais aussi de concevoir une série de fonctions formant une boite à outils originale pour le logiciel Matlab. Enfin, la dernière partie présente l'étude comparative des 17 méthodes sur un exemple simulé et sur des signaux réels issus de manipulations de laboratoire. Les conditions de simulation ou d'expérimentation ont été définies afin de mettre en évidence les influences des paramètres suivants : nature du signal d'entrée, valeur de la période d'échantillonnage, rapport signal sur bruit, spectre du bruit, ordre estimé du système. Cette étude aboutit à un tableau de synthèse présentant une classification des 17 approches selon des critères d'ordre quantitatif et qualitatif.
