Inhaltsangabe: Problemstellung: Der deutsche Mobilfunkmarkt steht derzeit vor grossen Herausforderungen hinsichtlich einer angemessenen Preis- und Tarifpolitik, um den bevorstehenden Marktveranderungen gerecht werden zu konnen: So befindet sich der Markt hinsichtlich der aus Umsatzsicht bisher fast ausschliesslich bedeutsamen Dienste Telefonie und SMS mit deren rucklaufigen Wachstumsraten bereits in der Reifephase des Produktlebenszyklus. Die Umsatze fur diese Dienste werden in den nachsten Jahren aufgrund der bereits erreichten hohen Penetrationsrate nicht mehr so leicht weiter gesteigert werden konnen. Statt dessen muss sogar vielmehr mit einem erheblichen Ruckgang der Margen fur diese Dienste gerechnet werden, da gegenwartig Discount-Preisstrategien durch neu auf den Markt tretende Zwischenhandler und entsprechende Initiativen speziell der kleineren Netzbetreiber an Bedeutung gewinnen. Einer drohenden Reduzierung des in der Branche massgeblich betrachteten Umsatzes je Kunden (ARPU) soll neben einer angestrebten Steigerung der Nutzungsintensitat vor allem auch durch die verstarkte Vermarktung von innovativen Datendiensten begegnet werden. Diese Datendienste (basierend auf den Techniken GPRS und UMTS) befinden sich jedoch derzeit je nach Auspragung noch in der Einfuhrungs- bzw. Wachstumsphase und tragen bisher noch nicht massgeblich zum Gesamtumsatz bei. Neben geeigneten Massnahmen der Produkt- und Kommunikationspolitik erfordert eine erfolgreiche Einfuhrung dieser neuen Datendienste dabei vor allem auch die Entwicklung hierfur geeigneter Tarifmodelle, da die im Telekommunikationsmarkt traditionell eingesetzte Tariffierung aus Grundgebuhr und Minuten bezogener Nutzungsgebuhr fur Datendienste ungeeignet ist. Die beiden Bereiche Telefonie/SMS und neue Datendienste verlangen somit entsprechend ihrer jeweiligen Phase des Produktlebenszyklus und ihrer spezifischen Rahmenbedingungen erfolgreiche Strategien der Preispolitik, um das unternehmerische Gesamtergebnis der Netzbetrei"

Companies face a variety of risks resulting from cost reduction strategies, rationalization measures, global sourcing, and outsourcing activities. Due to the large number of actors involved, extremely close ties emerge, which significantly increase supply chains’ vulnerability to disruptions – this has been shown again and again in the past few years. Against this background, the aspect of supply continuity is of increasing importance for all activities that relate to procurement, logistics, and supply chain management. Its objective is to ensure the continuous operation of supply chains, i.e., the uninterrupted flow of material, information, and coordination from the initial supplier to the end customer. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt adequate measures that take into consideration not only potential losses but also potential gains (so-called speculative risks). With this book, the concept of Supply Chain Safety Management is introduced. The concept itself is embedded in a comprehensive and dynamic management process. Depending on a supply chain’s individual objectives, a set of courses of action is offered for any risk factors – whether they are identifiable and quantifiable or not.
