Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Politik - Politisches System Deutschlands, Note: 1,7, Universität Passau, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: «Der Mensch war, ist und bleibt zu Unmenschlichkeit imstande.» Diese Äußerung am 5. September 2012 stammt von Charlotte Knobloch, heutige Präsidentin der Israelitischen Kultusgemeinde, anlässlich des 40-jährigen Gedenktages zu dem Münchner Olympiaattentat von 1972. Vierzig Jahre nach diesem Attentat verbindet man mit Terrorismus nach wie vor Angst, Schrecken und Unberechenbarkeit. In gewissen Situationen, in denen die politische Gewalt von Terroristen so offensichtlich und allgegenwärtig ist, stößt der Staat an seine Grenzen. Heute beschäftigt politische Gewalt nach wie vor die Politik und stellt eine große Herausforderung für den Rechtsstaat dar. Hinzu kommt, dass laut Datenerfassung des Bundeskriminalamtes (BKA) eine tendenzielle Zunahme von politisch motivierten Gewaltakten zu verbuchen ist und im Jahre 2011 ein neuer Höchststand erreicht wurde. Anlässlich dieser alarmierenden Zahlen sollen innerhalb dieser Arbeit die theoretischen Ansätze zur Entstehung politischer Gewalt und mögliche Gründe genauer betrachtet werden. Desweiteren wird gezielt auf das Phänomen Terrorismus als komplizierteste Form politischer Gewalt eingegangen und exemplarisch die Eigenheiten mit Hilfe der Roten Armee Fraktion (RAF) veranschaulicht. Die RAF wird dabei als empirischer Vertreter der „alten Bundesrepublik“ herangezogen, um einen tieferen Einblick in die Terrorismusstrategie zu erlangen. Ziel dieser Seminararbeit ist es die thematischen Eigenheiten politischer Gewalt und ihre Rolle innerhalb der terroristischen Gewaltstrategie ausführlich zu schildern und zu analysieren.
