The articles in this book are based on talks at a conference devoted to interrelations between function theory and the theory of operators. The main theme of the book is the role of Alexandrov-Clark measures. Two of the articles provide the introduction to the theory of Alexandrov-Clark measures and to its applications in the spectral theory of linear operators. The remaining articles deal with recent results in specific directions related to the theme of the book.

P Adic Analysis Arithmetic And Singularities written by Carlos Galindo and has been published by American Mathematical Society this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-05-11 with Mathematics categories.
This volume contains the proceedings of the 2019 Lluís A. Santaló Summer School on $p$-Adic Analysis, Arithmetic and Singularities, which was held from June 24–28, 2019, at the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, Santander, Spain. The main purpose of the book is to present and analyze different incarnations of the local zeta functions and their multiple connections in mathematics and theoretical physics. Local zeta functions are ubiquitous objects in mathematics and theoretical physics. At the mathematical level, local zeta functions contain geometry and arithmetic information about the set of zeros defined by a finite number of polynomials. In terms of applications in theoretical physics, these functions play a central role in the regularization of Feynman amplitudes and Koba-Nielsen-type string amplitudes, among other applications. This volume provides a gentle introduction to a very active area of research that lies at the intersection of number theory, $p$-adic analysis, algebraic geometry, singularity theory, and theoretical physics. Specifically, the book introduces $p$-adic analysis, the theory of Archimedean, $p$-adic, and motivic zeta functions, singularities of plane curves and their Poincaré series, among other similar topics. It also contains original contributions in the aforementioned areas written by renowned specialists. This book is an important reference for students and experts who want to delve quickly into the area of local zeta functions and their many connections in mathematics and theoretical physics.

Coding Theory And Quantum Computing written by David Evans and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2005 with Computers categories.
A conference, Coding Theory and Quantum Computing, was held in Charlottesville, VA, to provide an opportunity for computer scientists, mathematicians, and physicists to interact about subjects of common interest. This proceedings volume grew out of that meeting. It is divided into two parts: "Coding Theory" and "Quantum Computing". In the first part, Harold Ward gives an introduction to coding theory. Other papers survey recent important work, such as coding theory applications of Grobner bases, methods of computing parameters of codes corresponding to algebraic curves, and problems in the theory of designs. The second part of the book covers a wide variety of directions in quantum information with an emphasis on understanding entanglement. The material presented is suitable for graduate students and researchers interested in coding theory and in quantum computing.

The second Arolla conference on algebraic topology brought together specialists covering a wide range of homotopy theory and $K$-theory. These proceedings reflect both the variety of talks given at the conference and the diversity of promising research directions in homotopy theory. The articles contained in this volume include significant contributions to classical unstable homotopy theory, model category theory, equivariant homotopy theory, and the homotopy theory of fusionsystems, as well as to $K$-theory of both local fields and $C*$-algebras.

Divergent Series Summability And Resurgence Iii written by Eric Delabaere and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-06-28 with Mathematics categories.
The aim of this volume is two-fold. First, to show how the resurgent methods introduced in volume 1 can be applied efficiently in a non-linear setting; to this end further properties of the resurgence theory must be developed. Second, to analyze the fundamental example of the First Painlevé equation. The resurgent analysis of singularities is pushed all the way up to the so-called “bridge equation”, which concentrates all information about the non-linear Stokes phenomenon at infinity of the First Painlevé equation. The third in a series of three, entitled Divergent Series, Summability and Resurgence, this volume is aimed at graduate students, mathematicians and theoretical physicists who are interested in divergent power series and related problems, such as the Stokes phenomenon. The prerequisites are a working knowledge of complex analysis at the first-year graduate level and of the theory of resurgence, as presented in volume 1.

This volume is the record of a workshop on differential equations and the Stokes phenomenon, held in May 2001 at the University of Groningen. It contains expanded versions of most of the lectures given at the workshop. To a large extent, both the workshop and the book may be regarded as a sequel to a conference held in Groningen in 1995 which resulted in the book The Stokes Phenomenon and Hilbert's 16th Problem (B L J Braaksma, G K Immink and M van der Put, editors), also published by World Scientific (1996).Both books offer a snapshot concerning the state of the art in the areas of differential, difference and q-difference equations. Apart from the asymptotics of solutions, Painlevé properties and the algebraic theory, new topics addressed in the second book include arithmetic theory of linear equations, and Galois theory and Lie symmetries of nonlinear differential equations.
