English summary: In the conflict surrounding Johannes Reuchlin and the treatment of the Jewish books, several developments were compressed into a node in the history of ideas at the crossing from the Middle Ages to the early modern age. So arose the questions of how to handle non-Christian knowledge, how to deal with a rampant anti-Semitism and the spread of humanism to the north of the Alps. In addition, the search for the original union of faith and knowledge saw a Christian kabbalah develop, while new forms of publication emerged through the printing press. The formation of a wider, more learned public and finally the crisis of institutions, which up till then had been a stabilizing influence on scholarship, were further factors. Jan-Hendryk de Boer examines these mutually dependent developments which opened up unexpected scope of action for the protagonists present around 1500. From his genealogical analysis, the question emerges as to with which methodological and theoretical tools a history of ideas is nowadays possible. German description: Im Konflikt um Johannes Reuchlin und den Umgang mit judischen Buchern verdichteten sich verschiedene Entwicklungen zu einem ideengeschichtlichen Knotenpunkt am Ubergang von Mittelalter zu fruher Neuzeit. So gab es die Frage nach dem Umgang mit nichtchristlichem Wissen, einen um sich greifenden Judenhass und die Ausbreitung des Humanismus nordlich der Alpen. Zudem bildete sich eine christliche Kabbala als Suche nach der ursprunglichen Einheit von Glauben und Wissen heraus, es entstanden durch den Druck neue Publikationsformen, die Formierung einer breiteren gelehrten Offentlichkeit sowie schliesslich die Krise von Institutionen, die bislang das gelehrte Feld stabilisiert hatten. Jan-Hendryk de Boer untersucht diese Entwicklungen als sich wechselseitig bedingende Faktoren, die den Akteuren um 1500 unerwartete Handlungsmoglichkeiten eroffneten. Aus der genealogischen Analyse erwachst dabei die Frage, mit welchem methodischen und theoretischen Rustzeug eine Ideengeschi chte heute moglich ist.

English summary: In this volume, Jan-Hendryk de Boer investigates the upheaval in the world of scholars in the Roman-German Empire at the end of the fifteenth and beginning of the sixteenth centuries. He shows how during this time hegemonic humanism developed as a new discursive formation. This re-organised the humanistic movement as well as its relationship to scholasticism and ultimately the place of humanism in the scholarly world as a whole. After humanistic ideas were initially taken on board as being relatively unproblematic, the representatives of hegemonic humanism, such as poets, grammarians and philologists, claimed that they alone were in possession of useful skills and relevant knowledge. In a cultural transfer of the corresponding developments in Italy, a scholastic-humanist antagonism was generated that is still reflected in today's research. German description: Jan-Hendryk de Boer untersucht in dieser Studie den Umbruch in der Gelehrtenwelt des romisch-deutschen Reichs am Ende des 15. und zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts. Er zeigt, wie sich in diesem Zeitraum der hegemoniale Humanismus als eine neue diskursive Formation ausbildete. Diese organisierte die humanistische Bewegung wie auch deren Verhaltnis zur Scholastik und schliesslich den Ort des Humanismus in der Gelehrtenwelt insgesamt um. Nachdem humanistische Ideen zunachst relativ problemlos Aufnahme gefunden hatten, beanspruchten die Vertreter des hegemonialen Humanismus als Dichter, Grammatiker und Philologen fur sich allein, uber nutzliche Fertigkeiten und relevantes Wissen zu verfugen. In einem Kulturtransfer der entsprechenden italienischen Entwicklungen wurde so ein scholastisch-humanistischer Antagonismus erzeugt, der bis in die heutige Forschung nachwirkt.
