Häufig versuchen die Mächtigen in der Welt den Untergang des bisherigen Systems aufzuhalten, indem sie ein Dogma und ein spezielles Angstobjekt schaffen, um die Masse der Menschen so unter ihre Kontrolle bekommen. Da sich ein Systemwechsel letztendlich nicht aufhalten lässt, werden meist Sündenböcke gesucht und mit Gewalt bekämpft. Beispielhaft werden im Buch die Hexenverfolgungen, die Mordorgien der Französischen Revolution, des Nationalsozialismus, der Roten Khmer in Kambodscha und der Völkermord in Ruanda dargestellt. Insbesondere wird dann der Frage nachgegangen, wie wir derartige Gewaltorgien oder Kriege beim derzeitigen Weltsystemwechsel am Ende des Globalkapitalismus vermeiden können. Das Buch ist ein Muss für jeden an Politik, Geschichte oder Psychologie interessierten Menschen, der verstehen will, welche Veränderungen derzeit in der Welt geschehen.

Wilhelm Wächter hat auf seinem Weg von Frankreich über Litauen, Weißrussland, Russland, Polen, der Slowakei, Rumänien und Ungarn reiches Fotomaterial erstellt, das uns nahe Einblicke in das Leben der Soldaten und die Schrecken der Zeit bietet. Das Buch zeigt davon über 140 ausgewählte Fotos, die teilweise ganz neue Einblicke geben und die hier zum ersten Mal veröffentlicht werden. Die Erlebnisse machen auch deutlich, wie fließend die Übergänge von der Demokratie zum Faschismus sind und wie leicht normale Menschen in den Sog autokratischer Strukturen gezogen werden, aus denen sie sich dann selbst nicht mehr befreien können. Wir müssen deshalb immer wachsam sein, um die Demokratie in Deutschland erhalten zu können. Und wir müssen alles tun, um den Frieden in Deutschland zu erhalten. The Eucharist originated at the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples. It is based on the prayer of thanksgiving that Jesus pronounced over the bread and wine at that meal. “Eucharist” means “thanksgiving”, “praise”, and “blessing”. The Church celebrates the Eucharist as a memorial of the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is more than a remembrance of the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples. In the Eucharist the sacrifice of our redemption becomes present sacramentally. In the past, dogmatic theology has treated the meaning of the Eucharist while disregarding the form of its liturgical celebration, whereas liturgical studies have been content with only the latter. Yet the two cannot be separated, any more than liturgy and dogma or pastoral practice and doctrine can be understood without the other. The Church’s liturgy is not something external to Christian revelation, but rather, as Joseph Ratzinger said, “revelation accepted in faith and prayer”.
