Anointed Mud! What exactly is it. It is a demonstration of the Holy Spirits power. Jesus spit on the ground, made mud, put it on a man's eyes and the man could see. He was giving us an example to be put to use in our walk with Him. No, he does not expect us to make mud and spread it on people to be healed. He expects us to be filled with the Holy Spirit and utilize the gifts that He places within us. Those gifts are to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus, to heal, to instill faith and to trust in His provision. All of these are explained in this work and real life examples are given to help you in your own faith. Anointed Mud is just a term for be filled with Faith, Healing, Trust and Salvation through the Holy Spirits anointing. It is for everyone.

Augustine's homilies on the Gospel of John are masterpieces not only of theological profundity but also of pastoral engagement. This volume also includes the index for Homilies on the Gospel of John (1-40). Few ancient Christian authors attempted anything like a complete commentary on the Gospel of John, among them Origen, John Chrysostom and Augustine. Of these, Augustine's must count as the greatest. Unlike Origen's, it has come down to us in its entirety, and of the others that remain it is certainly the most theologically profound. John's gospel allows Augustine to range broadly over themes that were his life’s work —the Trinity, the person of Christ, the nature of the Church and its sacraments, the fulfillment of the divine plan. The 124 homilies that constitute Augustine's commentary, however, are masterpieces not only of theological profundity but also of pastoral engagement. In the question-and-answer style that he frequently employs, for example, one can sense Augustine's real awareness of his congregation's struggles with the gospel text. And the congregation's response to Augustine, which he frequently alludes to, is an indication of the success of his dialogical preaching style. The Johannine literature drew out the best in Augustine. The Homilies on the Gospel of John are the indispensable complement to The Homilies on The First Epistle of John, published in this series, and they should be a part of any serious theological library.

Bible figures of speech have been around since Adam. Who hasnt heard of the most famous tree, The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil? And in a moment of defiance and rebellion, Cain asked God, Am I my brothers keeper? These two literary terms can be called figures of speech. They are examples of phrases that bring forth a particular meaning to he who hears them, and they become personal to each of us. What do these two figures of speech have in common? They were both written down or attributed to the same author, Moses. They both happened somewhere at a specific place, which was an event at a certain moment of time. They represent the divine nature of God and Gods relationship with man, or in literary terms, a character. While we dont always know the exact location or date, as with the early biblical writings, we do have a unifying anchor which is the Bible figure of speech. Considering the first Bible figure of speech, we have yet another image: In the beginning. Here we see God acting alone in creation at the beginning of time. It too provides us with a simple truth both unforgettable and personal. It speaks to our mind and our heart and soul as personal knowledge, which is outside of ration and have heaven and earth to bear witness. This is a Bible figure of speech.

When we celebrate communion, is there a connection with anyone or anything? How do we connect? The body of Christ is often spoken as being connected, often like how the human body works. How many times do we go through the motions and not feeling a connection to anything? With Christian communion is much to discover. In the Communion Connection, you will experience from being a friend to Jesus to the completion of your Faith. You will come away with a new perspective on many different avenues of Connecting the Jesus and one another. My point for this book is to keep communion uncomplicated, simple and complete. Communion is about fellowship and connecting with Jesus and one another. The most notable aspect of partaking communion is the premise of this book. The elements of the bread and cup are symbolic, nothing more. Within the chapters are aspects of why and how we partake of this tender and loving celebration. For the Lord Jesus, it was just that. It was an emotional moment with “His friends” as the last day of fellowship prior to the Crucifixion.
