La comprensión de cómo se gestaron y se desarrollaron los procesos paralelos que convergieron cronológicamente en los anuncios presidenciales realizados el mediodía del 17 de diciembre de 2014 por los presidentes Raúl Castro Ruz y Barack Hussein Obama, tiene una dimensión estratégica para la política exterior de Cuba.
