Jolie balances her fear of Pedone, growing belief that Michael is innocent, and sometimes uneasy friendship with Scoobie. Her growing list of possible murder suspects includes Michael's soon-to-be-ex wife and a couple other beneficiaries of Mrs. Riordan's will.
