En el trabajo, que aqui se presenta, se realiza una valoracion critica sobre el aprendizaje, sus particularidades en el proceso de ensenanza - aprendizaje de idioma ingles, tanto en la concepcion de la escuela Historico Cultural de aprendizaje desarrollador como en los principios y supuestos metodologicos del aprendizaje acelerado. Se reflexiona acerca de los enfoques y metodos en el proceso de ensenanza-aprendizaje de lenguas extrajeras, analizando exhaustivamente los mismos surgidos durante la historia de la ensenanza de idiomas. Tambien se describe la alternativa metodologica para el desarrollo de un aprendizaje desarrollador y acelerado de la lengua inglesa, haciendo enfasis en la expresion oral, en ella se expone los presupuestos metodologicos que a juicio del autor contribuyen a un desarrollo integral de la personalidad del alumno, haciendo uso de sus potencialidades y las del grupo. Por ultimo, se muestra la evaluacion de la alternativa descripta y para ello se recoge la comprobacion empirica de la propuesta para el aprendizaje desarrollador y acelerado de la lengua inglesa haciendo un analisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de los resultados alcanzados."
