He tratado de recopilar en estos apuntes, de una manera práctica y concreta, los conceptos aprendidos en las escuelas profesionales y universitarias, que posteriormente he tenido que utilizar a lo largo de mi etapa como profesional del diseño mecánico en las empresas: Talleres Vicente Baeza S.A (diseño de carrocerías industriales y accesorios de elevación), Electromecánica Alysan (diseño de maquinaria para el calzado), Navacel (diseño de maquinaria de cubierta para buques). Me gustaría que este trabajo sirviese como manual de consulta y guía, para el profesional del diseño mecánico. Queda fuera de los objetivos de estos apuntes el profundizar en los conceptos teóricos, que entiendo que el alumno o lector debe tener adquiridos de otras asignaturas o estudios previos.
