Pada 5 Juni 1966 merupakan Golden Moment Pemuda NW karena pada saat itu Maulana Syaikh TGKH. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Majid mendirikan Pemuda NW sebagai badan otonom organisasi Nahdlatul Wathan, kemudian sejak tanggal 27 sampai tanggal 30 Juni 1969 Pemuda NW telah merintis sebuah jalan bagi penyatuan semua gerakan Pemuda NW melalui Muktamar I Pemuda NW. Maulana Syaikh mendirikan Pemuda NW berdasarkan pengalaman Maulana Syaikh ketika menjadi konstituante dari Partai Masyumi periode 1955-1959, dalam kunjungan kerja di berbagai daerah di Nusantara Maulana Syaikh banyak melihat gerakan para Pemuda begitu mengagumkan mereka memiliki gairah perjuangan yang tinggi melahirkan aktifitas-aktifita pendidikan, sosial, keagamaan dan lain sebagainya. Kekaguman Maulana Syaikh disampaikan secara langsung dan tidak langsung melalui tulisan seperti yang tertuang dalam wasiat, nasyid (lagu) tentang Pemuda seperti Ya Fata Sasak, Nahnu Fityanul ‘Ulum dan karya-karya Maulana Syaikh lainnya yang banyak memiliki relevansi dengan Kepemudaan. Bagi Maulana Syaikh Pemuda NW memiliki kesempatan yang sama dengan pemuda-pemuda lain yang ada di Indonesia untuk terlibat memberikan kontribusi pada agama, masyarakat, bangsa, dan negara yang direalisasikan melalui penguatan trilogi perjuangan NW; pendidikan, sosial dan da’wah. Maulana Syaikh menuang inspirasi dan motivasi perjuangan untuk Pemuda NW melalui tulisan; Kitab, wasiat, nasyid, dan lagu perjuangan. Tinggal Pemuda NW menggali dan mengaktualisasi pesan-pesan tersebut yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk program (amal usaha) yang realistis dan adaptif dengan kondisi-kondisi baru yang dihadapi. PW Pemuda NW NTB priode 2020-2024 dalam menjalankan aktivitas-aktivitas organisasi berupaya untuk berpedoman dari pesan tersurat dan tersirat dari karya-karya Maulana Syaikh tersebut, Ad/Art- GBHO-PO Pemuda NW, Intruksi PBNW, tradisi ke-NW-an, dan melanjutkan raihan positif dari PW Pemuda NW NTB priode-priode sebelumnya. Setelah melewati Satu Tahun terhitung semenjak 11 Agustus 2020 hingga Juli 2021, perjalan telah dijalani dengan baik dan tentu tidak terhindar juga dari berbagai kekurangan yang mengiringi untuk menjadi evaluasi. Sebagai gambaran perjalanan satu semester tersebut ekspresikan dan dideskripsikan dalam buku sederhana ini. Penyusunan buku ini sebenarnya jawaban dari kegelisahan akademik penulis, karena usia Pemuda NW yang sudah mencapai setengah abad (55 tahun), belum ada satupun tulisan karya tulis ilmiah yang dipulish yang mengangkat tentang Pemuda NW baik dalam bentuk buku maupun jurnal. Sehingga muncul kekhawatiran bagi generasi pelanjut akan mengalami ahistoris kalau tidak ada jejak sejarah, akibatnya generasi dapat mengalami “kebingungan” dalam mengoprasikan organisasi. Maka, hadirnya buku yang sangat sederhana ini hanya sedikit ikhtiar untuk merespon kegelisahan tersebut. Sebatas pemantik, dengan berharap akan muncul tulisan baru yang lebih komprehensif dan solutif dari rekan Pemuda NW lainnya yang lebih berkompeten. Dengan begitu keberadaan Pemuda NW dapat dibaca dan diketahui oleh generasi saat ini secara utuh yang bersilsilah semanjak zaman Maulana Syaikh hingga kini dan berlanjut ke generasi yang akan datang.

Expectations for performance management systems continue to grow in the public sector. Yet few administrators know how to effectively implement and sustain these systems. Performance-Based Management Systems: Effective Implementation and Maintenance supports practical efforts to build and maintain performance management systems in public organizations, explaining obstacles to measurement efforts and providing guidance on how to overcome them. The book begins by exploring performance measurement as a key element of performance-based management systems. It discusses its legacy and its limitations and offers competing explanations of the factors that constrain its effective use. Next, it focuses on building theory in support of practice through a mixed methods approach. We are delighted to introduce the Proceedings of the Second International Conference on Progressive Education (ICOPE) 2020 hosted by the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lampung, Indonesia, in the heart of the city Bandar Lampung on 16 and 17 October 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we took a model of an online organised event via Zoom. The theme of the 2nd ICOPE 2020 was “Exploring the New Era of Education”, with various related topics including Science Education, Technology and Learning Innovation, Social and Humanities Education, Education Management, Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Teacher Professional Development, Curriculum and Instructions, Assessment and Evaluation, and Environmental Education. This conference has invited academics, researchers, teachers, practitioners, and students worldwide to participate and exchange ideas, experiences, and research findings in the field of education to make a better, more efficient, and impactful teaching and learning. This conference was attended by 190 participants and 160 presenters. Four keynote papers were delivered at the conference; the first two papers were delivered by Prof Emeritus Stephen D. Krashen from the University of Southern California, the USA and Prof Dr Bujang Rahman, M.Si. from Universitas Lampung, Indonesia. The second two papers were presented by Prof Dr Habil Andrea Bencsik from the University of Pannonia, Hungary and Dr Hisham bin Dzakiria from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Malaysia. In addition, a total of 160 papers were also presented by registered presenters in the parallel sessions of the conference. The conference represents the efforts of many individuals. Coordination with the steering chairs was essential for the success of the conference. We sincerely appreciate their constant support and guidance. We would also like to express our gratitude to the organising committee members for putting much effort into ensuring the success of the day-to-day operation of the conference and the reviewers for their hard work in reviewing submissions. We also thank the four invited keynote speakers for sharing their insights. Finally, the conference would not be possible without the excellent papers contributed by authors. We thank all authors for their contributions and participation in the 2nd ICOPE 2020. We strongly believe that the 2nd ICOPE 2020 has provided a good forum for academics, researchers, teachers, practitioners, and students to address all aspects of education-related issues in the current educational situation. We feel honoured to serve the best recent scientific knowledge and development in education and hope that these proceedings will furnish scholars from all over the world with an excellent reference book.
