Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Kinder und Jugend, Note: 2,3, Universität Konstanz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Jugendmode in Deutschland. Dabei konzentriert sie sich auf die Mode der Kleidung des 21.Jahrhunderts. Es gilt herauszufinden, ob eher die Gesellschaft oder die Modeindustrie die Kleidung zur aktuellen Mode macht. Die Untersuchung des Themas erfolgt theoretisch. Es werden Ergebnisse einiger empirischer Studien verwendet. Der Hauptteil beginnt mit einer einleitenden Analyse der Jugendphase und den Charakteristiken der Kleidermode. Daraufhin geht es um die Bedeutung der Kleidung für die Betonung der Identität. Die Arbeit behandelt den Modewandel im Zusammenhang mit gesellschaftlichen Umbrüchen. Dann befasst sich die Arbeit mit der Mode als einer von vielen Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten und als Übermittler von Botschaften. Darauf Bezug nehmend, zeigt die Arbeit, wie die Jugendlichen ihr Selbst durch Kleidung auf verschiedenen Bühnen darstellen. Des Weiteren behandelt die Arbeit Integration und Distinktion und die Konstruktion von Männlichkeit und Weiblichkeit durch Kleidermode. Anschließend wird der Einfluss der Medien auf das Kaufverhalten Jugendlicher betrachtet. Im Schlussteil werden die Ergebnisse festgehalten.
