Este livro apresenta um panorama de estudos realizados por professoras e professores de teatro e dança da Educação Básica, egressos do Programa de Pós-graduação em Ensino de Artes Cênicas (PPGEAC/UNIRIO – Mestrado profissional) e se destaca pela sua inserção social prática e imediata, uma vez que a maior parte das pesquisas é desenvolvida dentro das escolas nas quais atuam os mestrandos. Na iminência de completar 10 anos de existência, o PPGEAC – programa ao qual pertencem as autoras e os autores destes textos – pretende com esta obra responder à demanda dos educadores do Ensino Básico, que buscam qualificação em nível de Pós-graduação, e ao conjunto da sociedade, que espera uma contribuição da universidade pública e das agências de fomento às pesquisas políticas voltadas para o benefício da população, especialmente, nesse caso, crianças e jovens pertencentes às camadas populares do Rio de Janeiro. Dança Desobediente: a formação em dança sob os estudos das relações étnico-raciais brasileiras retrata a potência da arte como um traço epistemológico orientado para a prática antirracista. A dança, nesta obra, aponta o Ògọ de Èṣù para os caminhos possíveis de enfrentamentos às práticas ocidentais de construção de corpos dóceis e vulneráveis às ideias coloniais, a partir de uma resposta firme e contundente: as epistemologias exunianas/decoloniais como um aparato de modificação político-epistemológico, para uma nova configuração do currículo formativo na Escola de Dança da Universidade Federal da Bahia (Ufba). Do modo como vê o autor, as saídas estão nas novas formas de expressar e comunicar o corpo negro que dança. Assim, desvelar as amarras coloniais por meio de sua dança-denúncia, construir redes cognitivas e de afeto, além de desobedecer aos ordenamentos de raça, gênero, sexualidades e classe instituídos, são atravessamentos vistos neste texto que nos instigam a atravessar as encruzilhadas da memória em direção às ancestralidades contidas em nossos corpos que dançam e comunicam sobre quem somos, diante das incapacidades que estão nos muros de nossas escolas coloniais. Estar implicado na escrita-denúncia faz da obra de Jadiel Ferreira dos Santos um manifesto contra as ações racistas que imperam nos círculos acadêmicos desde as suas mais tenras memórias. Este é um livro que nos possibilita enfrentar o racismo a partir de projetos de modificação de mentalidades e assim negar a ordem hegemônica estabelecida. At the turn of the 21st century, the Brazilian punk and hardcore music scene joined forces with political militants to foster a new social movement that demanded the universal right to free public transportation. These groups collaborated in numerous venues and media: music shows, protests, festivals, conferences, radio stations, posters, albums, slogans, and digital and printed publications. Throughout this time, the single demand for free public transportation reconceptualized notions of urban space in Brazil and led masses of people across the country to protest. This book shows how the anti-capitalist, anti-bourgeoisie stance present in the discourse of a number of Brazilian bands that performed from the late 1990s to the beginning of the 21st century in the underground music scenes of Florianópolis and São Paulo encountered a reverberation in the rhetoric emanating from the Campaign for the Free Fare, subsequently known as the Free Fare Movement (Movimento Passe Livre, or MPL). This allowed the engaged bands and the movement for free public transportation to contribute to each other’s development. The book also includes reflections on the Bus Revolt that occurred in the northeastern city of Salvador, unveiling traces of the punk and anarcho-punk movements, and the Revolution Carnivals that occurred in the city of Belo Horizonte, an event that mixed lectures, vegetarianism, protests, soccer, and punk rock music.
