La narrazione propone una attenta e dettagliata ricostruzione della vicenda, contemplando il susseguirsi delle accuse infondate e delle frustrazioni subite dal sig. Leonardo Confortini. La descrizione viene supportata da materiale storico. Lettere autografe coeve, ritagli di giornali, atti del processo, fotografie, frammenti di racconti degli anziani del paese di Sasso Pisano e parti di verita conosciute e mantenute fino ad oggi nascoste. Il libro si compone per gran parte della documentazione raccolta nei tre anni di ricerche.
