The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is revolutionizing transportation by enabling smarter, more connected mobility solutions in urban environments. However, the rapid expansion of connected vehicles and infrastructure brings significant energy demands that challenge sustainability goals. Addressing these concerns through green IoV strategies is essential to reduce the environmental impact of modern transportation systems. Achieving energy efficiency in IoV not only helps mitigate fuel and electricity consumption but also ensures long-term viability of smart city technologies. As cities continue to adopt intelligent transport networks, sustainable energy practices in vehicular systems become critical to balancing innovation with environmental responsibility. Driving Innovation at the Intersection of Renewable Energy and the Internet of Vehicles explores the innovative fusion of renewable energy sources with the IoV, driving the transformation toward eco-friendly and energy-efficient transportation systems. It delves into the integration of green technologies like solar, wind, and energy-efficient communications to reduce the environmental impact of vehicular networks. Covering topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and sustainability, this book is an excellent resource for academicians, researchers, engineers, policymakers, and more.

Smart Cities And Japan S Energy Transition written by Maciej M. Sokołowski and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-03-31 with Political Science categories.
This book offers a complex and problem-based analysis of the past, present, and future of smart cities in Japan’s energy transition. With 92% of Japanese living in urban areas and a goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, Japan’s energy future will depend largely on how its cities can become smarter, greener, and more resilient. To reach these ambitions, a collective effort is required, with actions coming from Tokyo to Kumamoto, from Yokohama to Sapporo, and throughout dozens of smaller and bigger Japanese urban structures. This book addresses the key issues that have emerged or may emerge in various Japanese cities that are pursuing smart energy initiatives. The authors examine several issues, including international cooperation, heating decarbonisation, foreign direct investments, city planning, housing policies, and technology-related risks in the context of Japan’s energy transition. Drawing on case studies from different regions of Japan and sectors of Japanese economy significant for reaching carbon neutrality, this book will be a valuable resource for all interested in energy transition, climate action, and smart cities, where Japan and Japanese smart cities serve as excellent benchmarks.

This book is an ideal and practical resource on the potential impact Artificial Intelligence (AI) can have in space sciences and applications. AI for Space Application presents a hands-on approach to browse in the subject and to learning how to do. AI is not yet fully accepted as a pervasive technology in space applications because they are often mission-critical and the cost of space equipment and modules raises skepticism on any practical use and reliability. However, it is evident that its potential impact on many aspects is dramatic. Starting from either actual or experimental realizations, the book accompanies the reader through such fascinating subjects like space exploration, autonomous navigation and landing, rover control and guidance on rough surfaces, image analysis automation for planet or star classification, and for space debris avoidance without human intervention. This kind of approach may facilitate further investigations on the same or similar subjects, as the future of space explorations is going toward adopting AI. The intended audience of the book are researchers from academia and space industries and practitioners in related start-ups.

Artificial General Intelligence 2008 written by P. Wang and has been published by IOS Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-02-18 with Computers categories.
The field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) was initially directly aimed at the construction of ‘thinking machines’ – that is, computer systems with human-like general intelligence. But this task proved more difficult than expected. As the years passed, AI researchers gradually shifted focus to producing AI systems that intelligently approached specific tasks in relatively narrow domains. In recent years, however, more and more AI researchers have recognized the necessity – and the feasibility – of returning to the original goal of the field. Increasingly, there is a call to focus less on highly specialized ‘narrow AI’ problem solving systems, and more on confronting the difficult issues involved in creating ‘human-level intelligence’, and ultimately general intelligence that goes beyond the human level in various ways. Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), as this renewed focus has come to be called, attempts to study and reproduce intelligence as a whole in a domain independent way. Encouraged by the recent success of several smaller-scale AGI-related meetings and special tracks at conferences, the initiative to organize the very first international conference on AGI was taken, with the goal to give researchers in the field an opportunity to present relevant research results and to exchange ideas on topics of common interest. In this collection you will find the conference papers: full-length papers, short position statements and also the papers presented in the post conference workshop on the sociocultural, ethical and futurological implications of AGI.

Can future (AI) control communication systems be developed to be applied to automated test any spacecraft flight systems to ensure which are safe to leave earth to fly to space? Is (AI) automated system testing tool more accurate to achieve the testing safe measurement result to reduce the space flight risk than human testing effort? To answer these questions, scientists need to attempt to compare (AI) testing system and human effort to test many times of spacecraft flights in order to confirm whether (AI) testing system will be more accurate than human effort testing to every spacecraft equipment before it will fly to space. Thus, (AI) space auto control system scientists have responsibility to attempt to do many times of experiments to ensure their (AI) auto control space robots can be safe and efficient and effective to be used by the space people in any space environment. Fourthly, in autonomous space exploration problem solution aspect, when a spacecraft encountered a somewhat unique problem as it moves further and further from earth. The increasing distance makes it take from ground-based controllers. As such, a spacecraft that will be any significant distance from earth most have some problems need to be able take collision avoidance actions and to reestablish communications with earth should they are lost. The use of (AI) autonomous technologies started with meeting these basic requirements and performing actions ( such as docking), which required too much. However, (AI) technology will have possible to be implemented because it can make missions better and less expensive. When, (AI) technology is participated to solve any unpredictable challenges when any a spacecraft leaves our earth to fly to space for future mission plans. It is likely the future existing space site networks will expand and some of which may be in remote locations. As such, there is an even greater need for (AI) automated challenge solution technology to facilities the operation of these various space stations within budget.
