Physics and Astrophysics discusses some major problems concerned with macrophysics. Such topics as the controlled thermonuclear fusion, high- temperature superconductivity, and metallic exciton liquid in semiconductors are covered. The definition and elements related to microphysics are discussed. This section focuses on mass spectrum, quarks and gluons, and the interaction of particles at high and super high energies. The book gives a brief overview of the general theory of relativity. The production and origin of gravitational waves are discussed in detail. Cosmology is the study of space and time on a large scale. This definition was made as an introduction to the chapter that focuses on the cosmological problems, quasars and galactic nuclei, and formation of galaxies. The necessity of new physics in astronomy is also considered. The text includes a section on the physics of black holes, neutrons stars, and pulsars. The book will provide useful information to physicists, cosmologists, engineers, students, and researchers in the field of physics.

Astrophysics Simplified written by Madhur Sorout and has been published by Notion Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-08-19 with Science categories.

This is basically an introductory book on astrophysics for general readers. It takes the reader through the major developments in Physics from Aristotle and Ptolemy (science was actually philosophy in the Aristotelian Era) to modern day Physicists like Stephen Hawking and Richard Muller. The book starts from various concepts of Classical Physics, the Theory of Relativity & Quantum Physics and then comes to the topics of Astrophysics and Cosmology, which is probably the best way to understand the subject for a general reader. There is limited mathematics in this book, but some major equations are included because one cannot grasp the true ‘beauty’ in physics without seeing the mathematical or abstract parts alongside practical laws. Physics is to mathematics what Tony Stark (Iron Man) is to J.A.R.V.I.S. or F.R.I.D.AY. The groundwork of computations, statistics, simulations etc. is done by F.R.I.D.A.Y. But, the real work of fighting the villains is done by Iron Man!

Physics And Astrophysics Of Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays written by M. Lemoine and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-01-11 with Science categories.

The International School on Physics and Astrophysics of Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays (UHECR2000) was held at the Observatoire de Paris–Meudon on June 26-29, 2000. This was the ?rst international school speci?cally dedicated to ultra high energy cosmic rays. Its aim was to familiarize with and attract students, physicists and astronomers into this quickly developing newresearch ?eld. The mysterious and currently unknown origin of the most energetic par- cles observed in Nature has triggered in recent years theoretical speculations ranging from electromagnetic acceleration to as yet undiscovered physics - yond the Standard Model. It has also lead to the development of several new detection concepts and experimental projects, some of which are currently - der construction. By its nature, the ?eld of ultra high energy cosmic rays is therefore highly interdisciplinary and borrows from astrophysics and cosmology, via particle physics, to experimental physics and observational astronomy. One main aspect of the school was to emphasize and take advantage of this interd- ciplinarity. The lectures were grouped into subtopics and are reproduced in this volume in the following order: After a general introductory lecture on cosmic rays follow two contributions on experimental detection techniques, followed by three lectures on acceleration in astrophysical objects. The next four contri- tions cover all major aspects of propagation and interactions of ultra high energy radiation, including speculative issues such as newinteractions.

The Physics Of Fluids And Plasmas written by Arnab Rai Choudhuri and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1998-11-26 with Science categories.

A good working knowledge of fluid mechanics and plasma physics is essential for the modern astrophysicist. This graduate textbook provides a clear, pedagogical introduction to these core subjects. Assuming an undergraduate background in physics, this book develops fluid mechanics and plasma physics from first principles. This book is unique because it presents neutral fluids and plasmas in a unified scheme, clearly indicating both their similarities and their differences. Also, both the macroscopic (continuum) and microscopic (particle) theories are developed, establishing the connections between them. Throughout, key examples from astrophysics are used, though no previous knowledge of astronomy is assumed. Exercises are included at the end of chapters to test the reader's understanding. This textbook is aimed primarily at astrophysics graduate students. It will also be of interest to advanced students in physics and applied mathematics seeking a unified view of fluid mechanics and plasma physics, encompassing both the microscopic and macroscopic theories.
