The Classic Guide to ATL–Now Updated for ATL 8 and Visual Studio 2005 Four leading Windows programming experts systematically reveal ATL’s inner workings, explaining not just how ATL works, but why it works the way it does. Client-side developers will master ATL’s resources for windowing, COM control, MFC integration, web service proxy generation, and more. Server-side programmers will discover ATL’s full COM server and object services, and its extensive support for high-throughput, high-concurrency web applications, and services. Every Windows developer will learn powerful ways to increase flexibility, reduce overhead, and maximize transparency and control. • Discover ATL’s internals through diagrams, example code, and internal ATL implementation code • Walk through wizards that simplify ATL usage in common applications • Master string handling in C++, COM, and ATL • Leverage ATL smart types, including CComPtr, CComQIPtr, CComBSTR, and CComVariant • Understand and choose the right options for implementing IUnknown • Create glue code that exposes COM objects from COM servers • Use canned interface implementations to support object persistence, COM collections, enumerators, and connection points • Build standalone applications and UI components with ATL window classes and controls • Use ATL Server to develop web applications that run on Microsoft IIS

The C Programming Language written by Anders Hejlsberg and has been published by Pearson Education this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-10-08 with Computers categories.

“Based on my own experience, I can safely say that every .NET developer who reads this will have at least one ‘aha’ moment and will be a better developer for it.” —From the Foreword by Don Box The popular C# programming language combines the high productivity of rapid application development languages with the raw power of C and C++. Now, C# 3.0 adds functional programming techniques and LINQ, Language INtegrated Query. The C# Programming Language, Third Edition, is the authoritative and annotated technical reference for C# 3.0. Written by Anders Hejlsberg, the language’s architect, and his colleagues, Mads Torgersen, Scott Wiltamuth, and Peter Golde, this volume has been completely updated and reorganized for C# 3.0. The book provides the complete specification of the language, along with descriptions, reference materials, code samples, and annotations from nine prominent C# gurus. The many annotations—a new feature in this edition—bring a depth and breadth of understanding rarely found in any programming book. As the main text of the book introduces the concepts of the C# language, cogent annotations explain why they are important, how they are used, how they relate to other languages, and even how they evolved. This book is the definitive, must-have reference for any developer who wants to understand C#.

Asp Internals written by Jon Flanders and has been published by Addison-Wesley Professional this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001 with Computers categories.

Because the source code for ASP is not openly available, author Jon Flanders has created an ASP clone, Active COM Pages (ACP). In revealing its source code, he provides a view under the hood of ASP so developers can finally see and understand how it works and how they can most effectively work with it. ASP Internals covers each aspect of the ASP runtime. It demonstrates ASP integration with COM+ transactional services. And, most important, it shows readers how COM objects are created and interact with ASP. Other important topics include: * How ASP is translated to and from the HTTP protocol * ASP, IIS, and ISAPI, including threads, security, and the Web Application Manager * Active Scripting, with an explanation of how to add named objects to running scripts * ASPs IResponse and IRequest interfaces and how they interact with HTTP through ISAPI * ASP state management at the session and application levels, and related performance issues * How ASP and the Scripting Engine integrate with COM * ASP integration with COM+ transactional services * ASPs built-in internationalization features, including a look at Unicode Numerous code examples, written in VBScript, demonstrate best practices

Oceanic Internal Tides Observations Analysis And Modeling written by Eugene G. Morozov and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-02-08 with Science categories.

This book presents a detailed study of the structure and variability of internal tides and their geographical distribution in the ocean. Based on experimental analysis of oceanic measurements combined with numerical modeling, it offers a comprehensive overview of the internal wave processes around the globe. In particular, it is based on moored buoys observations in many regions in all oceans (Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic, and Southern) that have been carried out by researchers from different countries for more than 40 years as part of various oceanographic programs, including WOCE and CLIVAR. However, a significant portion of the data was collected by the author, who is a field oceanographer. The data was processed and interpreted on the basis of the latest knowledge of internal wave motion. The properties of internal waves were analyzed in relation to the bottom topography and mean state of the ocean in specific regions. Internal waves play a major role in the formation of seawater stratification and are responsible for the main processes of ocean dynamics, such as energy transfer and mixing. One of the most significant ideas presented in this book is the generation of internal tides over submarine ridges. Energy fluxes from submarine ridges related to tidal internal waves greatly exceed the fluxes from continental slopes. Submarine ridges form an obstacle to the propagation of tidal currents, which can cause the creation of large amplitude internal tides. Energy fluxes from submarine ridges account for approximately one fourth of the total energy dissipation of the barotropic tides. Model simulations and moored measurements have been combined to generate a map of global distribution of internal tide amplitudes. This book is of interest to oceanographers, marine biologists, civil engineers, and scientists working in climate research, fluid mechanics, acoustics, and underwater navigation.

Uml For Database Design written by Eric J. Naiburg and has been published by Addison-Wesley Professional this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001 with Computers categories.

Typically, analysis, development, and database teams work for different business units, and use different design notations. With UML and the Rational Unified Process (RUP), however, they can unify their efforts -- eliminating time-consuming, error-prone translations, and accelerating software to market. In this book, two data modeling specialists from Rational Software Corporation show exactly how to model data with UML and RUP, presenting proven processes and start-to-finish case studies. The book utilizes a running case study to bring together the entire process of data modeling with UML. Each chapter dissects a different stage of the data modeling process, from requirements through implementation. For each stage, the authors cover workflow and participants' roles, key concepts, proven approach, practical design techniques, and more. Along the way, the authors demonstrate how integrating data modeling into a unified software design process not only saves time and money, but gives all team members a far clearer understanding of the impact of potential changes. The book includes a detailed glossary, as well as appendices that present essential Use Case Models and descriptions. For all software team members: managers, team leaders, systems and data analysts, architects, developers, database designers, and others involved in building database applications for the enterprise.
