L’Atlantide (1919), arguably Pierre Benoit’s most famous novel, tells the story of two French military officers in the Sahara who discover the lost city of Atlantis. This novel was a popular success and was translated into several languages. It also generated controversy due to its similarities to the novel She, by H. Rider Haggard. Benoit was even brought to court over these similarities, but was ultimately cleared of plagiarism charges.

Excerpt from Atlantida (L'atlantide) As to this disclosure, let no one distrust my aim when I prepare for it, when I insist upon it. You may believe me when I maintain that no pride of authorship binds me to these pages. Already I am too far removed from all such things. Only it is useless that others should enter upon the path from which I shall not return. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. The History Of Atlantis Classic Reprint written by Lewis Spence and has been published by Forgotten Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-10-11 with History categories.

Lewis Spence, a prolific author and journalist, was one of the world's foremost researchers into the lost civilization of Atlantis. The History of Atlantis is one of five works the author wrote on the topic, and perhaps his most well-known. Spence's goal with this title was to offer a historical treatment of Atlantis, the mythical sunken land that's mere existence is still debated. Over the course of sixteen chapters, Spence presents his evidence for the existence of Atlantis, as well as a supposed history and examination of daily life in the lost land. The author begins by outlining the historical sources on which he has relied. The most prominent source is the writing of Plato, the great Greek philosopher. After presenting his sources, Spence launches into his history of the continent. Subjects addressed include the people of Atlantis, the ruling Kings, the traditions of Atlantis, religion, animal life, and the Atlantean culture-complex, among other topics. Spence presents each discussion in great detail, painting a vivid picture of the now-submerged continent. There is no doubt that The History of Atlantis is a quality work. Excerpt from Atlantis, the Book of the Angels This is the history of the zenith of the early Adamites, when their superhuman attainments demanded their destruction; and by reason of the language being beyond all other languages the root language of Shinar - it has been a labour of time to interpret the narrative, throughout which I have used common place and understandable terms, rendered in clear English of to-day. With the Flood the curtain falls, as it were, Upon an inter rupted and unfinished act of the great drama of Man; and when we realise the sin of stoppage and the challenge of the halt of progress, we stand appalled to watch the inevitable result, and shudder as the elemental powers remove all traces of rebellion from before Heaven. And as the ages blot out all but the mention of that vanished period that began we know not when, we may wonder when our scenes will come to the last one, and what will be the ending. The Empires Of Atlantis written by Marco M. Vigato and has been published by Simon and Schuster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-21 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

• Traces the course of Atlantean civilization through its three empires, as well as the colonies and outposts formed by its survivors in Egypt, Göbekli Tepe, India, Mesopotamia, the Mediterranean, and North and South America • Shows how pyramids and other megalithic monuments testify to the survival of a “Sacred Science” of Atlantean origin and how this Sacred Science provided the foundation for esoteric traditions and secret societies throughout the ages • Draws on more than 500 ancient and modern sources and the author’s own personal exploration of hundreds of archaeological sites Exploring more than 100,000 years of Earth’s history, Marco Vigato combines recent discoveries in the the fields of archaeology, geology, anthropology, and genetics with the mystery teachings of antiquity to investigate the true origins of civilization. Establishing the historical and geological reality of Atlantis stretching all the way back to 432,000 BCE, he traces the course of Atlantean civilization through its three empires, revealing how civilization rose and fell several times over this lengthy span of time. The author shows that Atlantis did not vanish “in one terrible day and night” but survived in a variety of different forms well into the historical era. He reveals how the the first Atlantean civilization lasted from 432,000 to 35,335 BCE, the second one from 21,142 to 10,961 BCE, and the third Atlantis civilization--the one celebrated by Plato--collapsed in 9600 BCE, after the Younger Dryas cataclysm. The author examines the role of Atlantean survivors in restarting civilization in different parts of the world, from Göbekli Tepe and Egypt to India, Mesopotamia, and the Americas. He personally documents their colonies and outposts around the globe, offering unique views of the colossal network of pyramids, earthen mounds, and other megalithic monuments they le behind. He shows how these monuments testify to the survival of a sacred science of Atlantean origin, and he documents the survival of the primeval Atlantean tradition through various secret societies into the modern era. Drawing on more than 500 ancient and modern sources and sharing never-before-seen photographs from his own personal exploration of hundreds of archaeological sites around the world, Vigato shows not only that Atlantis was real but that the whole world is now being called to become a New Atlantis and awaken into a new golden age.
