"Audacity of Hopelessness" originates from the facts that the ancestors of our Afro-American citizens were brought to our land as slaves in chains of steel; it took them over a century to gain freedom. Soon thereafter a lot of demonic white politicians sowed the plan to enslave the freed slaves in another perpetual addictive dependence; these politicians made sure that these freed slaves are sapped of independence, creativity and love-for-work. We are fully justified in labeling these politicians as enemies of freed slaves. For their own perpetual political power many Afro-American 'Reverends' have also applied all their divine skills to keep their brethren burdened with moronity of entitlements. These Reverends are more powerful enemies of our Afro-American citizens than the white 'Un-Revernded' white politicians.

Decoding Karl is akin to understanding electricity: simply cannot be done. If you believe you have 'made it spiritually' it may be worthwhile to test your 'understanding' through an encounter with Karl. In the now overcrowded world of sagely Advaita gurus dishing out profound insights into our real nature, Karl stands out as a sore thumb. Like a drunken Kung-Fu master, Karl, in his crazy off-balance style, mocks and punctures the validity of these insights-displaying unshakable balance! With sparking and soothing humour, Karl mesmerisingly rips through anything and everything that can be ripped through, to the mixed dismay and wonder of onlookers. An unshakability which manifests through Karl that draws seasoned seekers to him.

We Are Doomed written by John Derbyshire and has been published by Forum Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-09-29 with Political Science categories.

To his fellow conservatives, John Derbyshire makes a plea: Don't be seduced by this nonsense about "the politics of hope." Skepticism, pessimism, and suspicion of happy talk are the true characteristics of an authentically conservative temperament. And from Hobbes and Burke through Lord Salisbury and Calvin Coolidge, up to Pat Buchanan and Mark Steyn in our own time, these beliefs have kept the human race from blindly chasing its utopian dreams right off a cliff. Recently, though, various comforting yet fundamentally idiotic notions of political correctness and wishful thinking have taken root beyond the "Kumbaya"-singing, we're-all-one crowd. These ideas have now infected conservatives, the very people who really should know better. The Republican Party has been derailed by legions of fools and poseurs wearing smiley-face masks. Think rescuing the economy by condemning our descendents to lives of spirit-crushing debt. Think nation-building abroad while we slowly disintegrate at home. Think education and No Child Left Behind. . . . But don't think about it too much, because if you do, you'll quickly come to the logical conclusion: We are doomed. Need more convincing? Dwell on the cheerful promises of the diversity cult and the undeniable reality of the oncoming demographic disaster. Contemplate the feminization of everything, or take a good look at what passes for art these days. Witness the rise of culturism and the death of religion. Bow down before your new master, the federal apparatchik. Finally, ask yourself: How certain am I that the United States of America will survive, in any recognizable form, until, say, 2022? A scathing, mordantly funny romp through today's dismal and dismaler political and cultural scene, We Are Doomed provides a long-overdue dose of reality, revealing just how the GOP has been led astray in recent years–and showing that had conservatives held on to their fittingly pessimistic outlook, America's future would be far brighter. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to embrace the Audacity of Hopelessness.

Music And The Language Of Love written by Catherine Gordon-Seifert and has been published by Indiana University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-04-07 with Music categories.

Simple songs or airs, in which a male poetic voice either seduces or excoriates a female object, were an influential vocal genre of the French Baroque era. In this comprehensive and interdisciplinary study, Catherine Gordon-Seifert analyzes the style of airs, which was based on rhetorical devices of lyric poetry, and explores the function and meaning of airs in French society, particularly the salons. She shows how airs deployed in both text and music an encoded language that was in sensuous contrast to polite society's cultivation of chaste love, strict gender roles, and restrained discourse.

Barack Obama found himself in the fi ght of his life when he decided to throw his hat into the ring of the ‘2008’ presidential race. His historical bid to become the next president of the United States of America brought intrigue, excitement, and controversy to the campaign trail in ways the political world will never quite be able to capture in words. I (however) gave it the old college try. As the first seriously considered African American contender, the campaign trail’s rhetoric heated up and became fraught with racism, nay-sayers, and vehement critics. By turning three simple words “Yes We Can” into his mantra, Senator Obama over came those devastating obstacles to become the Distinguishable Gentleman. In this blow by blow narrative account of the most historical presidential race of this country’s history, this (easy read depiction) captures the candid political facts, and personal narratives of the candidates who participated in the highly contentious ‘2008’ election. The Distinguishable Gentleman and the Presidential Race of ‘08’ will not only educate, but enlighten, as well as motivate. Americans will be able to refer to this valuable resource many years from now when nostalgia lures them to relive the “dream” once more. “It’s been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defi ning moment, change has come to America.” President Obama November 4, 2008

Desmond writes about the metaphysical perplexity that cannot be identified with scientific or commonsense curiosity. This perplexity is in another dimension of thought, asking questions about what precedes and exceeds the determinate intelligibilities of science and common sense. Desmond explores what this perplexity is, especially in so far as it is shadowed by the question of ultimacy. This work complements Desmond's Being and the Between.

As the first decade of the 21st century comes to a close, the world has entered a sustained period of crisis. In order to understand the forces that created our current social world, we need the tools provided by a critical sociology. This volume draws upon the work of contemporary critical sociologists searching for the roots of our present social and economic problems. Both prominent figures and emerging voices in sociology come together to offer insights into our present dilemmas from a critical perspective. The questions they ask and attempt to answer include: What is critical sociology? What is the significance of the new Obama administration? What tools do post-structuralism, postmodernism, feminism, and new forms of social theory offer critical discourse?

A Mad Love and a Shameless Audacity brings a message of encouragement for readers who feel alone in their struggles and a bracing challenge for those who are willing to believe in Christ as Savior: to accept that our identity in Christ - not the picture we've had of ourselves in the past - is who we truly are now.
