A great read is to be had in 'Aussie Cars'. This book encompasses many stories related to the author, A. John Parker, in his documentation of veteran, vintage and classic motoring. Australian car manufacturing didn't really take off until the Holden 48-215 was developed just after World War Two. however, in this book, you'll read about a couple of early 20th-century attempts at building a motorcar. Of course, there are numerous Holdens and Fords to read of. You will also find stories on the ill-fated Leyland P76. Not forgetting the valiant (pun intended) vehicles from 1970's Chrysler.
