Cognitive Mechanisms Of Belief Change written by Aaron C. T. Smith and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-05-22 with Psychology categories.

Belief change lies at the heart of all human aspirations. From career progression, weight loss, spiritual commitment, and ideological passion, to love, grief, war, identity, and sport, beliefs guide our lives and to a great extent, determine our success, satisfaction and happiness. Cognitive Mechanisms of Belief Change is relevant to anyone interested in the machinations of how this occurs. It explains how certain ideas and concepts steal a place in the mind because they latch on to hardwired ways of thinking, experiencing, and behaving. Concepts throw light upon the mind’s desires, which in turn casts a kaleidoscope of silhouettes against the walls of thought, with those taking distinct shape forging the outlines for beliefs to inhabit. Beliefs infiltrate our minds, and this book shows how they arrive and change in ways critical to our sense of meaning and identity.

Living the devastation of heartbreak, tears and pain, she pushes through and becomes ‘A Rose in Full Bloom’ – spiritually wrapped in the ‘wise understanding’ through the journey of a ‘Spiritual Awakening and Healing’ that affects the human spirit and soul with the sprinkling of FLAME MAGIC – aligning her to ‘a romance’ coming in as ‘THE STANGER.’ -- Comparable to the ‘LOVE STORY’ of the film GHOST, – this is an awakening of ‘Spiritual Strength’-- and the ultimate continual LOVE of ‘Soulmates’ through their life journey – and made in written ‘Contract’ by others in God’s heavenly realm before incarnating to earth and reconnecting here to find ‘The Dream of Every Lasting Divine Love. It is the ending and a brand-new beginning where she felt a lack in the past and now moves into a place with stability, -- like roots growing from under the frozen icy snow and breaking through the surface to open like a flower unfolding, and everything becomes illuminated mentally, emotionally and spiritually, – coming into the understanding as to WHY her journey went the way that it did -- feeling grateful for the things that she wasn’t aware of and didn’t know, and trusting her ‘Intuition’ and belief in herself. She blossoms like ‘A ROSE in FULL BLOOM’ coming into her own strong rooted and grounded stability, -- into something long-lasting with a profound understanding within her. She is opening and blossoming into something incredibly beautiful and sees what is going to happen for her next cycle on her life path and journey.

All this has been achieved by a man who has had no formal training in the field, but who has become a recognised expert through his extensive reading, through working with leading exponents, and by drawing upon his lively intellect, his wealth of culture and his knowledge of history, philosophy and religions. This volume, published under the auspices of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, offers insight into the challenging relationship between religion and human rights.

The Magic Of Coin Trees From Religion To Recreation written by Ceri Houlbrook and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-04-23 with History categories.

This book traces the history of ritual landscapes in the British Isles, and the transition from religious practice to recreation, by focusing on a highly understudied exemplar: the coin-tree. These are trees imbued with magical properties into which coins have been ritually embedded. This is a contemporary custom which can be traced back in the literature to the 1700s, when it was practiced for folk-medical and dedicatory purposes. Today, the custom is widespread, with over 200 coin-trees distributed across the British Isles, but is more akin to the casual deposition of coins in a wishing-well: coins are deposited in the tree in exchange for wishes, good luck, or future fortune. Ceri Houlbrook contributes to the debate on the historic relationships between religion, ritual, and popular magic in British contexts from 1700 to the present.
