Pengertian tersebut dapat dipersempit lagi, yaitu dengan melibatkan kata agama, yang artinya peperangan yang terjadi antara Kristen dengan Islam dalam merebut Yerusalem. Jika pemahaman tersebut dijadikan suatu kebenaran mutlak, maka akan timbul persepsi yang saling menyudutkan antara Kristen dan Islam.
