The end of the world is coming. From roadside signs to science fiction films, this slogan underscores our society’s nervous fascination with the future. Whether it’s a giant asteroid, a worldwide plague, or some other global catastrophe, the end of the world is a terrifying prospect—at least for those who have no idea what it will be like. For Christians, however, the end of the world should be anything but dreadful. In fact, it should be something we actually look forward to. Why? Because God has told us how the world will end. And He has assured us that the end of this age will mark the beginning of a new, glorious one in which we will serve and worship Him in sinless perfection. Our eternal hope, as believers, is intimately tied to the end of this world. All of this is laid out in the book of Revelation. Not only is Revelation the inspired Word of God, it is also the only New Testament book that includes a promised spiritual blessing for those who study and apply its message. As such, it is an essential part of every Christian’s devotional life. Those who ignore Revelation deprive themselves of a rich treasure of divine truth, and the promised blessings that come from understanding that truth. Join John MacArthur as he explains the book of Revelation in a way that is both doctrinally precise and intensely practical.

Jesus said go therefore and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all that I commanded you and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.The end of the age means the end of the church age and the church has been on the earth for 2,000 years. I wrote this book about the book of Revelation in the Bible. Revelation is the last book in The Word of God and gives those that read it and hear it an inside look at the things to come. The book of Revelation of Jesus Christ written in 95 AD. It's not a modern day revelation of men. Many inside and outside the church have tried to explain it; furthermore, most believers and unbelievers have ignored it. It's important to keep in mind that the Bible is not a complex book as a whole; therefore, the book of Revelation should not be viewed as too difficult to understand. Text of Scripture used for this book is King James Version (KJV) and New American Standard Bible (NASB) that are both considered by scholars, the most literal translations of the original Hebrew and Greek. I also excluded book, chapter, and verse in the KJV because I didn't want it to distract from the readability. I did include book, chapter, and verse in the NASB to help explain the meaning. For the record, the original texts did not list book, chapter, and verse. These titles were added later by publishers to make it easier to read and learn the Word of God. God sent this final message to explain the things at the end of the church age. The book is divided into three parts: the past, the present, and the future.Although there are abstract verses the symbolic language always represents a reality behind the passage. The word Revelation means uncover. It brings to light. Jesus Christ reveals Himself to man. If you keep this in mind, the mystery of Revelation is really no mystery at all. What was not known about God can be known. As we work our way through the Scripture, I'll keep the focus on literal interpretation of Scripture. Because our sinful nature wants to deny the revealed truth of God, my goal is not to read in between the lines. I think the words speak for themselves. We are all guilty of taking the words of others out of context, so lets not do that with the words of God either. Remember, the value of the text in the Bible is found when it makes sense, it's written so we can know God.Sometimes what is true is hard to accept but it's valuable to know. For example, we all die. Revelation is simple when we keep it simple and avoid over thinking it. I have included some famous names inside and outside the church. Names known. I did this on purpose. I didn't do it to hurt the feelings of those that follow them. Read and hear this important Bible verse. Paul said to the church in Ephesus to be imitators of God in Ephesians 5:11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness but instead even expose them.

Understanding End Times Prophecy written by Paul N. Benware and has been published by Moody Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006-05-01 with Religion categories.

Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

Revelations written by Elaine Pagels and has been published by Penguin this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-03-06 with Religion categories.

A startling exploration of the history of the most controversial book of the Bible, by the bestselling author of Beyond Belief. Through the bestselling books of Elaine Pagels, thousands of readers have come to know and treasure the suppressed biblical texts known as the Gnostic Gospels. As one of the world's foremost religion scholars, she has been a pioneer in interpreting these books and illuminating their place in the early history of Christianity. Her new book, however, tackles a text that is firmly, dramatically within the New Testament canon: The Book of Revelation, the surreal apocalyptic vision of the end of the world . . . or is it? In this startling and timely book, Pagels returns The Book of Revelation to its historical origin, written as its author John of Patmos took aim at the Roman Empire after what is now known as "the Jewish War," in 66 CE. Militant Jews in Jerusalem, fired with religious fervor, waged an all-out war against Rome's occupation of Judea and their defeat resulted in the desecration of Jerusalem and its Great Temple. Pagels persuasively interprets Revelation as a scathing attack on the decadence of Rome. Soon after, however, a new sect known as "Christians" seized on John's text as a weapon against heresy and infidels of all kinds-Jews, even Christians who dissented from their increasingly rigid doctrines and hierarchies. In a time when global religious violence surges, Revelations explores how often those in power throughout history have sought to force "God's enemies" to submit or be killed. It is sure to appeal to Pagels's committed readers and bring her a whole new audience who want to understand the roots of dissent, violence, and division in the world's religions, and to appreciate the lasting appeal of this extraordinary text.
