"BEE IN BALANCE: A Guide to Healing the Whole Person with Honeybees, Oriental Medicine, & Common Sense" by Amber Rose. This is an updated version of the 1994 edition, to be released on November 2, 2013 - many updates since last printing. Amber has a PhD.,L.Ac., LMSW and has been a healer all her life. After graduating with special honors from the Universities of Chicago and Iowa, she went on to study at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia/Laurel, Maryland. Just as her psychotherapy experience alerted her to the value of acupuncture, Amber's acupuncture experience led her to Bee Venom Therapy (BVT) or Bee-Acupuncture. Amber believes that the bee sting was the first acupuncture needle. She feels that modern day acupuncture is an attempt to recreate the bee sting: the needle being the stinger and the use of moxibustion being the heat or burning sensation from the venom. In this unique book, Amber shares her discovery of the healing miracles available with honeybees and all their products. This approach to healing is unlike anything you've ever seen before. It is a synthesis of her experience with psychotherapy, acupuncture, spirituality, and the remarkable healing power of honeybees. This book is the Bible of Bee-Acupuncture. It has already become a classic! In the last few years there have been several double blind studies with injectable venom examining the healing components of bee venom for MS, HIV/AIDS, and cancer. There are even studies using "nanobees," tiny particles delivering cell-killing bee toxin to cancer cells, while leaving healthy cells intact. This is very exciting but not surprising to Dr. Rose. Amber, who uses live honeybees, has known for a long time that bee venom helps the body heal itself. The original version of "Bee In Balance" was written in 1994, less than a year after Amber began her healing journey with the bees. It has been out of print for many years. This brand new updated 4th edition to be released in November 2013 includes over 20 years of experiences and anecdotes, bee-acupuncture for humans and animals, as well her keynote speech in Vancouver, B.C., Canada on HIV/AIDS research that she conducted herself with live bee stings from 1994-97. If you know anyone who has an auto-immune disease, a chronic illness, or chronic pain, this book is a MUST READ!

This is a loving, powerful tribute to women everywhere. A lovely response to the negative images the media tends to portray women as. I love the analogy of the bee and woman. Williams, retired educator, and author of Hurting & Healing; Husbands, For Wives Only, and The Perfect Womans Flaw. She is part of a plan to bring gifts and preserve nature, assist in the production of something good, and to put forth a life-sustaining, life-altering substance. ~ Chapter One True beauty comes from within. This historic book may have numerous typos and missing text. Purchasers can usually download a free scanned copy of the original book (without typos) from the publisher. Not indexed. Not illustrated. 1917 edition. Excerpt: ... (6) Columns for Discount on Purchases and Discount on Notes on the same side of the Cash Book; (c) Columns for Discount on Sales and Cash Sales on the debit side of the Cash Book; (d) Departmental columns in the Sales Book and in the Purchase Book. Controlling Accounts.--The addition of special columns in books of original entry makes possible the keeping of Controlling Accounts. The most common examples of such accounts are Accounts Receivable account and Accounts Payable account. These summary accounts, respectively, displace individual customers' and creditors' accounts in the Ledger. The customers' accounts are then segregated in another book called the Sales Ledger or Customers' Ledger, while the creditors' accounts are kept in the Purchase or Creditors' Ledger. The original Ledger, now much reduced in size, is called the General Ledger. The Trial Balance now refers to the accounts in the General Ledger. It is evident that the task of taking a Trial Balance is greatly simplified because so many fewer accounts are involved. A Schedule of Accounts Receivable is then prepared, consisting of the balances found in the Sales Ledger, and its total must agree with the balance of the Accounts Receivable account shown in the Trial Balance. A similar Schedule of Accounts Payable, made up of all the balances in the Purchase Ledger, is prepared, and it must agree with the balance of the Accounts Payable account of the General Ledger." The Balance Sheet.--In the more elementary part of the text, the student learned how to prepare a Statement of Assets and Liabilities for the purpose of disclosing the net capital of an enterprise. In the present chapter he was shown how to prepare a similar statement, the Balance Sheet. For all practical...

Though some things may have changed with scientific advancements, keeping a hive healthy really hasn't changed that much since Weeks first wrote about it.

Bees Are My Business written by Harry J. Whitcombe and has been published by Pickle Partners Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-12-05 with Nature categories.

When Harry Whitcombe was seven years old he persuaded a not very enthusiastic father to let him have a hive of bees. From that day on, bees were his business. It was often a precarious business, but it was to prove its worth more than once during the depression, when Whitcombe, still in high school, helped balance the family budget by selling five-gallon cans of honey to a local grocer. Later the sale of his apiary, grown to a hundred colonies, helped pay his way through college. As time went on, Harry Whitcombe found that his real interest lay in the part beekeeping could be made to play in replenishing the soil through pollination of crops. There were many lean years, but Harry Whitcombe persisted, and he became one of the largest shippers of package bees in the world. He was the first man ever to ship bees by plane and his bees were flown all over the United States and Canada and to Europe, India, Korea, Guam and Israel. This heartwarming human success story is told against a background rich in information of vast importance to all of us and of practical value to beekeepers. With amazing clarity the authors describe the science of beekeeping from elementary facts about hives and swarms, to the science of pollination. It is the only book of its kind that relates the story of the beekeeping industry to agriculture. It tells the story of modern commercial beekeeping and vividly describes how bee pollination contributes to man’s dinner table in meat, milk, butter, vegetables and fruits. It explains how the application of insecticides, such as DDT, kills both beneficial as well as injurious insects and how the honey bee has taken over pollination for continued production of many crops.

The book culminates into a beautiful poem incorporating each character. The Secrets of Hope the Honey Bee was the inspiration of Dr Gerry Brierley, a British beekeeper and an 'Accidental Apitherapist' who, after an encounter with blood sucking ticks in the Surrey Hills, contracted near fatal forms of tick borne infections, including Lyme Disease. Dr Gerry now lectures on the subject of Medicinal Apitherapy, including the therapeutic uses of bee venom. This book is not just a story about the honey bees; it is about a struggle for survival and winning through in the face of immense adversity. Hope is the spirit of the honey bee who is sending a message to the world. As the title suggests, this book is about never ending 'Hope'.
