Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2016 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Arbeit, Betrieb, Organisation, Note: 1,3, Bergische Universität Wuppertal (IOP), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Durch eine Veränderung in den technischen und organisatorischen Arbeitsbedingungen haben psychische Belastungen und Beanspruchungen der Mitarbeiter in Betrieben stark an Bedeutung gewonnen. Als Beispiel nennen Uhle und Treier Verdichtungen der Arbeit und eine Informatisierung (u.a. Personalabbau, Mehrarbeit, stete Erreichbarkeit, Leistungsdruck etc.). In diesem Zusammenhang ist auf eine Studie der europäischen Agentur für Sicherheit und Gesundheitsschutz am Arbeitsplatz (2015) hinzuweisen. Nach dieser Studie ist Abstinenz aufgrund von psychosozialen Erkrankungen nach Muskel- und Skeletterkrankungen der zweitgrößte Ausfallgrund in Betrieben. Auf Grundlage dieses anhaltenden Trends wurde die Notwendigkeit einer Beurteilung der psychischen Belastung am Arbeitsplatz vom Gesetzgeber definiert. Zudem ist das Wohlbefinden und die Gesundheit der Mitarbeiter und der Mitarbeiterinnen neben Wirtschaftlichkeit und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit ein zentrales Anliegen der Unternehmen. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeitsplatzbewertung hinsichtlich der psychischen Belastungen kann der Arbeitgeber psychische Erkrankungen zwar nicht therapieren, er kann jedoch die Wahrscheinlichkeit des Auftretens psychischer Erkrankungen, bedingt durch die belastenden Arbeitsfaktoren, minimieren. Um sich diesem Ziel zu nähern, müssen diese Faktoren zunächst bestimmt werden. Diese und andere Fragestellungen, wie etwa was innerhalb der Gefährdungsbeurteilung abgebildet werden kann, sollen in den nächsten Kapiteln untersucht werden.

Hierbei soll die Wechselwirkung zwischen der psychischen Gesundheit der Mitarbeiter und deren Berufsalltag verdeutlicht werden. Es werden insbesondere Klein- und Mittelständische Unternehmen (KMU) betrachtet. Durch Digitalisierung und Globalisierung verändert sich die Arbeitswelt rasant. Steigende Arbeitsanforderungen fördern Stress und die psychische Belastung der Beschäftigten. Dies bringt erhebliche negative Folgen für die Gesundheit der Beschäftigten mit sich. Dies hat ebenso wirtschaftliche Auswirkungen, durch beispielsweise steigende Arbeitsunfähigkeitstage oder Frühverrentungen der Arbeitnehmer. Die Arbeit gelte laut der Stressstudie der Techniker-Krankenkasse für 46% der Befragten als Stressursache Nummer eins. Nach Muskel-Skelett-, und Atemwegserkrankungen seien psychische Erkrankungen die dritthäufigste Ursache für Fehlzeiten. Von vielen Beschäftigten werden eine hohe Arbeitsintensität und ein großes Maß an Flexibilität gefordert. Für motivierte und dadurch auch effektivere Mitarbeiter, seien jedoch der Spaß bei der Arbeit, die Kreativitätsförderung und das persönliche Wohlbefinden unabdingbar. Diese Gratwanderung stellt eine Herausforderung für die Arbeitgeber in der heutigen Zeit dar. Die Folgen einer zu hohen Arbeitsbelastung, eines negativen Betriebsklimas oder eines nicht ausreichenden Gesundheitsmanagements sind weniger effektive oder mindestens temporär arbeits- unfähige Mitarbeiter. Eine hohe Krankheitsquote sei für Arbeitgeber mit einem hohen finanziellen Aufwand verbunden.
