Overview of Space Technology It has been over 50 years since the rst satellite was sent into orbit, and the impact of space technology can be felt in many aspects in our day to day life. In addition to the convenience of knowing exactly where we are on the planet via GPS satellites; or deciding what to pack for a trip based on forecasts from weather satellites; watching CNNinaremotevillageviabroadcasting satellites;therearenowsomecrucialen- ronmental uses of Space technologies in the areas of natural resources management and environmental monitoring. Remotely sensed data reveals an unparallel view of the Earth for systems that require synoptic or periodic observations such as inv- tory control, surveying, agriculture, business, mineralogy, hydrography, geology, land mass cover, land utilization and environment monitoring. The advancement of remote sensing has made remote sensed data more affordable and available to merge with a variety of data sources to create mash-ups. The amalgamation of these data sources into disciplines such as agriculture, urban planning, web applications, cartography, geodetic reference systems, and global navigation satellite systems, are an important advancement of space applications and space science. Space Technology and Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) The MDGs are a set of time-bound, measurable goals and targets that are global as well as country-speci c for combating poverty, hunger, diseases, illiteracy, envir- mental degradation and discrimination against women.

The benefits are stemming from space explorationThere are many reasons that space exploration should continue. If Earth ever becomes too overpopulated or over polluted, then perhaps people can move to Mars. The world population in 1970yr. was approximately 4 billion people, and is currently nearly 6 billion people. The world population in 2015yr. is estimated to be 7 billion people. There is a possibility that there are useful resources on Mars. Scientists have found ice and some other clues, such as craters, volcanoes, and valleys, that have led them to believe that there was once life on Mars. However, I shall indicate the technological innovation and cultural and inspiration and new opportunities for job creation and weather prediction and global space economy and global space economy benefits are stemming from space exploration as below:On technological innovation aspect, there are numerous cases of societal befits linked to new knowledge and technology from space explanation. Space exploration aims to research new outside Earth's useful natural resources to substitute our limited natural resources because our prediction indicates that our limited natural resources, e.g. oil, gas etc. which will be spent to use all none of natural resources remain in our Earth one day in the future. Space exploration has contributed to many diverse aspects of every day life from solar panels to implantable heart monitors, from caner therapy to light-weight materials, and from water purification systems to improved computing systems and to a global search and rescue system, storage and recycling and waste management, advances robotics, health and medicine, transportation, engineering, computing and software, space systems innovaion and service resulting in higher performance and lower costs. On cultural and inspiration aspect, space exploration it fulfill people;s producing fresh data about the solar system , thus brings us closer to answering profound questions that have asked for: What is the nature of the Universe ? Is there life elsewhere in the Universe? Knowledge derived from space exploration may also contribute to implementing policies for environmentally sustainable development. On new opportunities for job creation aspect, new opportunities for job creation and economic growth are being created by private enterprises that are increasingly investing in make space exploration and seeking ways to make space exploration more affordable and reliable, profitable , such as medicine, computer science, weather prediction, communication etc. industries. Such as space science discoveries and technology encourages European company to launch a satellite based super fast broadband service serving clients in rural .Telecommunications systems which enables European industry to explore new ideas for satellite communications products and services, such as mobile phones and internet and GPS location search. Thus, telecommunication encourages UK Government to implement digital Britian policy to secure the UK's position as one of the world's leading digital knowledge economies. The most influence indicates space exploration can create many new jobs demand to provide to UK telecommunication industry indiectly and it can assist UK economic growth. On weather prediction aspect, space based systems have made an impact on how human deal with the environment. Earth observations from space can follow weather pattence. They can provide an understanding of hurricane formation, so that early warning early images from space can show the basing routes for access into areas cut off by flooding and other environmental disaster.

How space exploration delivers benefits. On space exploration how delivers benefits hand, space benefits can be categorized as either direct or indirect. The direct benefits of exploration include the generation of scientific knowledge, the diffusion of innovation and creation of markets, the inspiration of people around the world, and agreements forged between the countries engaged in exploration. The indirect benefits of exploration, it includes tangible enhancement to the quality of life, with as improved economic prosperity, health, environmental quality, safety and security.Possibilities for benefit creation, when the products of space exploration interact with the imagination and creativity present. Cultural benefits may depend on exploration mission stories and images spreading broadly across society. Education organizations can earn benefits to maximize societal impact, space agencies share space exploration results to cooperate with research institutions, businesses, universities, schools, museums to learn space science knowledge in societies. TO sum up, the direct benefits include humans are inspired, scientific knowledge is generated, innovation is transferred to applications, capacity and productivity of working in space are enhanced, markets for space products and services are created and international space exploration partnership strength as well as the indirect benefits include economic prosperity, health improvement , environmental benefit, safety and security , human experience is expanded, understanding of humankind's place in the universe is enhanced. On innovation and economic benefits hand, the challenge of space exploration needs to research how to innovate more reliable and efficient systems to prepare to carrying on experimenting space exploration missions. However, space exploration mission use the unique capabilities of humans , e.g. on the spot decision making, cognitive adaptability, versatility and robots , e.g. precision, sensory, accuracy, reliability and expandability to achieve ambitious exploration goals. Thus, maximize the productivity of these missions by demanding on effective partnership between humans and machines driving progress in human health care, robotics, automation. On creative more space technological jobs and soluble difficult space technology to human aspect, how to overcome the challenges of working, space has led to many technological and scientific advances that have provided benefits to society in earth in areas including health and medicine, transportation, public safety , consumer products, energy and environment, information technology and industrial productivity. For example, the technological benefits include improved solar panels, implantable heart monitors, light -based weight high temperature alloys used in jet engine turbines, cameras fond in today's mobile phones, compact water-purification systems, global search and rescue systems and biomedical technology etc. different kinds of space technological products. On space discoveries with benefits for life on earth hand, ongoing research in the space environment, in areas , such as human physiology, plant , biology, materials science and fundamental physics, insights that benefit society. For example, studies of the human body's response to extended periods in the microgravity environment in planetary evolution space environment. “A compelling appeal, at just the right time, for continuing to look up.”—Air & Space America’s space program is at a turning point. After decades of global primacy, NASA has ended the space-shuttle program, cutting off its access to space. No astronauts will be launched in an American craft, from American soil, until the 2020s, and NASA may soon find itself eclipsed by other countries’ space programs. With his signature wit and thought-provoking insights, Neil deGrasse Tyson—one of our foremost thinkers on all things space—illuminates the past, present, and future of space exploration and brilliantly reminds us why NASA matters now as much as ever. As Tyson reveals, exploring the space frontier can profoundly enrich many aspects of our daily lives, from education systems and the economy to national security and morale. For America to maintain its status as a global leader and a technological innovator, he explains, we must regain our enthusiasm and curiosity about what lies beyond our world. Provocative, humorous, and wonderfully readable, Space Chronicles represents the best of Tyson’s recent commentary, including a must-read prologue on NASA and partisan politics. Reflecting on topics that range from scientific literacy to space-travel missteps, Tyson gives us an urgent, clear-eyed, and ultimately inspiring vision for the future.

More than four decades have passed since a human first set foot on the Moon. Great strides have been made in our understanding of what is required to support an enduring human presence in space, as evidenced by progressively more advanced orbiting human outposts, culminating in the current International Space Station (ISS). However, of the more than 500 humans who have so far ventured into space, most have gone only as far as near-Earth orbit, and none have traveled beyond the orbit of the Moon. Achieving humans' further progress into the solar system had proved far more difficult than imagined in the heady days of the Apollo missions, but the potential rewards remain substantial. During its more than 50-year history, NASA's success in human space exploration has depended on the agency's ability to effectively address a wide range of biomedical, engineering, physical science, and related obstacles-an achievement made possible by NASA's strong and productive commitments to life and physical sciences research for human space exploration, and by its use of human space exploration infrastructures for scientific discovery. The Committee for the Decadal Survey of Biological and Physical Sciences acknowledges the many achievements of NASA, which are all the more remarkable given budgetary challenges and changing directions within the agency. In the past decade, however, a consequence of those challenges has been a life and physical sciences research program that was dramatically reduced in both scale and scope, with the result that the agency is poorly positioned to take full advantage of the scientific opportunities offered by the now fully equipped and staffed ISS laboratory, or to effectively pursue the scientific research needed to support the development of advanced human exploration capabilities. Although its review has left it deeply concerned about the current state of NASA's life and physical sciences research, the Committee for the Decadal Survey on Biological and Physical Sciences in Space is nevertheless convinced that a focused science and engineering program can achieve successes that will bring the space community, the U.S. public, and policymakers to an understanding that we are ready for the next significant phase of human space exploration. The goal of this report is to lay out steps and develop a forward-looking portfolio of research that will provide the basis for recapturing the excitement and value of human spaceflight-thereby enabling the U.S. space program to deliver on new exploration initiatives that serve the nation, excite the public, and place the United States again at the forefront of space exploration for the global good.

In summer 1969, astronauts landed on the moon and hippie hordes descended on Woodstock—two era-defining events that are not entirely coincidental. Neil M. Maher shows how NASA’s celestial aspirations were tethered to terrestrial concerns of the time: the civil rights struggle, the antiwar movement, environmentalism, feminism, and the culture wars.
