Daher sollte eine zukünftige und effektive Gestaltung der Betrieblichen Gesundheitsförderung, trotz der ohne Zweifel auch in diesem Bereich notwendigen und fortschreitenden Digitalisierung, den Mensch als sozial interagierendes Individuum niemals vernachlässigen und diese wichtige Aufgabe nicht einzig und allein Algorithmen überlassen werden. Ein auf den Einzelnen individualisierter und abgestimmter Ansatz in Kombination mit einer persönlichen Betreuung, besonders der Personen mit einem bereits erhöhten Gesundheitsrisiko, kann dabei helfen die aktuelle Gesundheitsförderung nach dem Public Health Ansatz zu verbessern und so in manchen Bereichen zu einer deutlichen Effektivitätssteigerung zu führen. Dieses Potenzial sollte keinesfalls ungenutzt bleiben.

Neben den Folgen des demographischen Wandels stellen eine Steigerung chronischer Erkrankungen wie beispielsweise Herz - Kreislauf - Erkrankungen, Krebserkrankungen oder Diabetes mellitus, die Zunahme von Multimorbiditat und andauernde Pflegebedurftigkeit weitere Herausforderungen fur das Berufsbild der Pflege dar. Es wird somit deutlich, dass die Pflege von kranken und alten Menschen im Krankenhausbereich einen wachsenden Bereich ausmacht. Aus genannten Grunden werden Gesundheitsleistungen heute und besonders in naher Zukunft stark nachgefragt sein. Der Beruf der Pflegekraft ist durch hohe Anforderungen in physischer, psychischer und sozialer Hinsicht gepragt. Der Umgang mit Ausnahmesituationen, bedingt durch den direkten Kontakt zu sterbenden und schwerstkranken Patienten muss zusatzlich bewaltigt werden. Psychische Belastungenergeben sich zudem aus Personalmangel, welcher durch Einsparungen des Krankenhauses entsteht, aus einer hohen Fluktuation in der Pflege sowie Schicht- und Nachtdiensten. Hinzu kommen korperliche Belastungen, wie das taglich schwere Heben, Tragen und Umlagern von Patienten. Hierbei sind vor allem die arbeitsbedingten Muskel - Skelett - Erkrankungen hervorzuheben, welche die Gruppe mit den haufigsten Krankheitsarten und mit den meisten Arbeitsunfahigkeitstagen im Bereich der Pflege darstellen.
