Beyond Roots II is the logical second step in the cultural literary pilgrimage of both Rev. McKissic and Dr. Evans. As two bibliocentric evangelical African American Pastors, they seek to flush out the errors in the biblical interpretations of the history of the Black race in a scholarly and pragmatic way. McKissic and Evans are determined to continue their wrestling until they can penetrate the truth about a significant Black presence in the Bible, not only in the African American community, but for the benefit of the Christian church at large. In this collaborative work, McKissic and Evans fill in the gaps between their works to show why a proper biblical view of the Black race is essential if Black people are to recognize, understand and appreciate their position in God's eternal program. This work further authenticates the Black presence in Scripture through the eyes of Black and White biblical scholars while pointing to the racial abuse of historically accepted biblical scholarship. In addition, they reveal the continuing Black presence in the development of the church and theology through the leadership of the African church fathers and beyond. However, this work is designed not only to unfold the divine saga of the Black race in Scripture, but to make an analysis of how people must use that knowledge to address the contemporary crisis that African Americans currently face. It is designed to challenge Black and White Christians alike to root their racial heritage and pride in Scripture if they are to avoid the extremes of both racial elitism and racial inferiority. Is it an accurate and honest portrayal of history to depict all Bible characters as European? Are the images of European Bible characters a result of objective historical research or the personal biases of the image producers? Do these images reinforce the notion of White superiority? Is it true that Moses, Solomon, the Queen of Sheba and Jesus were of Black lineage? There are some startling answers to these questions packed between the covers of this book. Rev. William Dwight McKissic, Sr. and Dr. Tony Evans explore the depth of the African contribution to Christianity from the earliest days of human history. This well-documented, fact-filled volume sheds light on the biblical legacy belonging to people of African descent. And it's a challenge to Christians of diverse ethnic backgrounds to root their racial heritage and pride in Scripture, rather than culturally- limited depictions of Biblical characters. This book will enable you to authoritatively respond to the old Negro spiritual "If Anybody Ask you Who I Am" by saying, "I have been, I am and I always will be a child of the King."

If you ever wanted IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE that black people wrote the Bible, you are looking at it! Anyone or group of people can claim to be the Lost Tribes of Israel. That is easy. But making such a claim does not mean it is true. Therefore, what separates the GENUINE Israelites from the wannabes is the EVIDENCE or PROOF they provide to support their claim. Sadly, there are reckless black people making such claims but when challenged for proof, they have nothing to show and come up short. Consequently, their blundering undermines our genuine Hebrew identity and turns it into a joke. Thus, because of their rash behaviour they cause huge damage to our black history. This book aims to arrest the damage done to our heritage by these less informed black people. It does so by providing the necessary evidence, which proves that large sections of the black race are the true Israelites. The PROOF/EVIDENCE provided in this book is quite unique. It is unlike anything you have read before and will ever read anywhere else. Also, it is comprehensive and designed to forever silence the critics. You will read information that nobody else knows but only the direct descendants of the ancient Israelites knows about. Thus, proving conclusively that we are indeed who we claim to be - the true children of Israel.

The African American Guide to the Bible makes the case for the relevance of the Bible from the perspective of people of color. It presents a comprehensive biblical view of topics of interest to African Americans and clarifies racial issues for white people. Part 1 addresses the inspiration of the Bible by giving evidence for its authenticity. A considerable amount of time is spent on examining the original text of the Bible, the archeological evidence, and the evidence from predictive prophecy to demonstrate the uniqueness of the Bible. Part 2 deals with the black presence in the Bible by demonstrating the prominence of people of color and black people in particular by highlighting their importance in the plan of God. It explains what it means to be black and demonstrates that the scientific and biblical evidence are both consistent with respect to race. Part 3 is a response to the arguments of racism used by critics of the Bible, for example, "Christianity is the white man's religion" and "Bible supports slavery and racism." These arguments are examined and evaluated in light of scripture and the context of history. Part 4 deals with the unity of humanity from a biblical perspective. It shows why racism is not only unbiblical but is evil when understood from the perspective of God.

Black Theology, Slavery and Contemporary Christianity explores the legacy of slavery in Black theological terms. Challenging the dominant approaches to the history and legacy of slavery in the British Empire, the contributors show that although the 1807 act abolished the slave trade, it did not end racism, notions of White supremacy, or the demonization of Blackness, Black people and Africa. This interdisciplinary study draws on biblical studies, history, missiology and Black theological reflection, exploring the strengths and limitations of faith as the framework for abolitionist rhetoric and action. This Black theological approach to the phenomenon of the trans-Atlantic slave trade and the institution of slavery draws on contributions from Africa, the Caribbean, North America and Europe.
