Ausgangspunkt dieses Bandes ist ein Bildungsbegriff, der die Transformation von Selbst- und Weltverhältnissen aus der Perspektive einer Theorie der Praxis in den Blick nimmt. Auf der Grundlage von vierzehn biographischen Interviews werden typische Phasen von Bildungsprozessen rekonstruiert, um so Einblicke in die Mikrostruktur von Habituswandlungen und Habitustransformationen zu erlangen. In einem Wechselspiel zwischen empirischen Rekonstruktionen und bildungstheoretischen Reflexionen werden zudem Möglichkeiten ausgelotet, eine bildungstheoretisch orientierte Biographieforschung an eine empirisch informierte Gesellschaftstheorie anzuschließen. Ein innovativer Ansatz, der die Kluft zwischen Bildungstheorie und empirischer Bildungsforschung überwindet und den Feld-Begriff als Komplement zum Habitus-Begriff für die Analyse von Bildungsprozessen erschließt.

Diese Relationierung soll sich hier in einer bildungstheoretisch orientierten Biographieforschung widerspiegeln. Bildung findet statt, wenn es zu Transformationsprozessen des Selbst- und Weltverhältnisses kommt und differenziert sich damit von dem Begriff des Lernens, der als Wissenszuwachs innerhalb eines Orientierungsrahmens gekennzeichnet ist. Der so verstandene Bildungsbegriff wirft folglich zwei grundlegende Forderungen auf: Zum einen nach der theoretischen Konzeptualisierung und zum anderen nach der empirischen Rekonstruktion. In diesen belebten Diskurs reiht sich auch das Habituskonzept ein, das durch die praxeologische Bildungstheorie von Rosenberg um einen wertvollen Beitrag erweitert wurde. Florian von Rosenberg, der als Professor am Lehrstuhl für Allgemeine Erziehungswissenschaft mit den Schwerpunkten Bildungstheorie und Bildungsphilosophie tätig ist, setzt sich in seiner Dissertation Bildung und Habitustransformation. Empirische Rekonstruktionen und bildungstheoretische Reflexionen (2011) mit der Frage auseinander, ob und wie sich ein gesellschaftlich fundierter Habitus wandelt bzw. transformiert. Diese Arbeit wird als Hauptlektüre für die Ausarbeitungen genutzt. Die vorliegende Hausarbeit gliedert sich in zwei Teile; der habitustheoretischen Grundlegung, wo die bildungstheoretischen Anschlüsse an Bourdieus Habitustheorie als Referenzrahmen für die Vorstellung des Ansatzes Rosenbergs dienen sollen. Im zweiten Teil wird sich der empirischen Untersuchung von Bildungsprozessen mittels biographischem Interview gewidmet, indem zunächst Habitusrekonstruktionen im Sinne der dokumentarischen Interpretation in den Blick genommen werden und daran anschließend eine Fallbetrachtung bzw. - analyse eines biographischen Interviews erfolgt. Mit der vorgestellten Thematik zur bildungstheoretisch orientierten Biographieforschung soll sich hier auseinandergesetzt werden, und aus diesem Grundinteresse wird auch die Fragestellung „Bildungsprozesse als Habitustransformation?“ formuliert, die anhand von habitustheoretischen Reflexionen zum Ansatz Rosenbergs und einer empirischen Untersuchung von Bildungsprozessen anhand eines biographischen Interviews beantwortet werden soll.

This book fills an important gap in the literature, and presents contributions from scientists and researchers working in the field of sustainable development who have engaged in dynamic approaches to implementing sustainability in higher education. It is widely known that universities are key players in terms of the implementation and further development of sustainability, with some having the potential of acting as “living labs” in this rapidly growing field. Yet there are virtually no publications that explore the living labs concept as it relates to sustainability, and in an integrated manner. The aims of this book, which is an outcome of the “4th World Symposium on Sustainable Development at Universities” (WSSD-U-2018), held in Malaysia in 2018, are as follows: i. to document the experiences of universities from all around the world in curriculum innovation, research, activities and practical projects as they relate to sustainable development at the university level; ii. to disseminate information, ideas and experiences acquired in the execution of projects, including successful initiatives and good practice; iii. to introduce and discuss methodological approaches and projects that seek to integrate the topic of sustainable development in the curricula of universities; and iv. to promote the scalability of existing and future models from universities as living labs for sustainable development.
