Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2003 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Arbeit, Beruf, Ausbildung, Organisation, Note: 2,3, Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Veranstaltung: Spezielle Soziologie, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: [...] Sätestens dann, wenn man sich noch die PISA-E Ergebnisse anschaut, fragt man sich welche Gründe für ein solches Abschneiden vorliegen und welche Konsequenzen dies für das deutsche Bildungssystem hat. Mitte 1960 wurde das deutsche Bildungssystem reformiert in der Hoffnung, mehr soziale Gerechtigkeit und Chancengleichheit zu erzeugen. Die Hochschulen wurden ausgebaut, der Zugang zum sekundären Bildungssystem vereinfacht und das dreigliedrige Schulsystem, mit Haupt-, Realschule und Gymnasium eingeführt. Jedoch musste die aktuelle Sozialstrukturanalyse feststellen, dass die, durch die Bildungsreform ausgelöste Bildungsexpansion nicht, wie erwartet, zu mehr Chancengleichheit und einer Öffnung des Bildungssystems für sozial unterprivilegierte Schichten geführt hat. Allerdings sind Chancengleichheit und soziale Gerechtigkeit in der modernen u. demokratischen Gesellschaft wie der BRD allgemein wichtige und akzeptierte Werte. Die aktuellen Gegebenheiten zeigen aber deutlich, dass das deutsche Bildungssystem, als Verteilungsinstanz formaler Bildungsabschlüsse, noch weit von seinem Anspruch auf Chancengleichheit entfernt ist. Da aber Erfolg in Bildungssystem und das Erlangen formaler Bildungsabschlüsse direkte Auswirkungen auf den sozialen Status der Individuen haben, bedeutet eine ungleiche Verteilung von Bildungschancen eine Reproduktion sozialer Ungleichheit. Um ein besseres Verständnis für den Sachverhalt zu erzielen wird anfangs näher auf die PISA-Studie und auf deren Ergebnisse eingegangen. Darauf basierend wird dann im Folgenden auf den Begriff der Chancengleichheit und der damit verbundenen Problematik bzgl. der Strukturen der sozialen Ungleichheit im Bildungssystem eingegange n. Auf Grundlage dieser Erkenntnis werden die Perspektiven eines sozial gerechten Bildungssystem, also ein Bildungssystem, das die Problematik der sozialen Ungleichheit im Bildungssystem als solche erkennt und aktiv bemüht ist sie zu bekämpfen, diskutiert. Dabei soll die Konzeption der Gesamtschule hervorgehoben werden, die zwar oftmals kritisiert wird, aber gerade im Kontext der PISA-Studie wieder in den Mittelpunkt der Diskussion gerückt ist, da der europäische Spitzenreiter Finnland mit seinen staatlichen Gesamtschulsystem sehr gute Ergebnisse, vor allem auch unter dem Gesichtspunkt des Abbaus herkunftsspezifischer Chancenungleichheit, erzielt hat.
