Die Beiträge dieses Bandes führen die teilweise auf unterschiedlichen Wegen entstandenen Erkenntnisse der beiden Richtungen zusammen. Eines wissen wir ganz sicher: Eine sichere Bindungserfahrung in der Kindheit - wenigstens eine! - ist ein ganz wichtiger Schutz gegen das Aufkommen psychopathologischer Symptome nach einem traumatischen Erlebnis. Die Erkenntnisse der Bindungsforschung haben in jüngerer Zeit in psychoanalytische und psychotherapeutische Überlegungen Einzug gehalten. Dieses Buch führt nun erstmals die bisher weitgehend unabhängig voneinander operierenden Richtungen Bindungsforschung und Psychotraumatologie zusammen. Es wird dargestellt, wie Bindungsverhalten und -störungen mit traumatischen Trennungs- und Verlusterlebnissen zusammenhängen oder auch mit anderen traumatischen Ereignissen wie körperlicher und emotionaler Mißhandlung oder sexueller Gewalt. Die Bindungsforschung hat herausgearbeitet, wie solche ungelösten Traumata sich auf gestörtes Verhalten bei Kindern und auf Bindungsrepräsentationen bei Erwachsenen auswirken können. Parallel dazu hat sich die Psychotraumatologie bei ihren Untersuchungen eher darauf konzentriert zu erforschen, welche psychopathologischen Symptome durch ungelöste Traumatafolgen ausgelöst werden können. Bedeutsam sind auch neue Erkenntnisse darüber, wie Kinder ein akutes Trauma überstehen können und welche Schutzfaktoren zu ihrer psychischen Stabilisierung beitragen. Da Bindung bereits im Säuglingsalter beginnt, möchte ich das Thema Bindung und Trauma auf das Kindesalter beziehen. Ich thematisiere die Entstehung der Bindungstheorie, sowie die unterschiedlichen Bindungsqualitäten. Ich möchte in dieser Arbeit klären, welche unterschiedlichen Bindungsmuster es gibt und welche Bedeutung die transgenerationale Weitergabe hat. Der Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit liegt auf der Entstehung von Traumatisierungen und Bindungsstörungen, sowie der Klärung des Zusammenhangs zwischen Traumatisierungen in der Kindheit und deren Auswirkung auf die Bindungsfähigkeit. Abschließend greife ich den Aspekt der Psychotherapie, sowie mögliche Präventionsmaßnahmen auf. Die Grundlage meiner Ausarbeitung bildet ausschließlich wissenschaftliche Literatur.
