Forschungsarbeit aus dem Jahr 2016 im Fachbereich Didaktik für das Fach Deutsch - Pädagogik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: 1,0, Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen (Germanistik), Veranstaltung: Begleitseminar zum Praxissemester, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Vorliegende Forschungsarbeit widmet sich der Schwierigkeit des Umgangs mit einer zunehmenden Heterogenität der Schülerschaft in deutschen Klassenzimmern. Dazu wird der leitendenden Forschungsfrage nachgegangen, inwiefern sich die Methode des Stationenlernens für einen gelingenden binnendifferenzierenden Literaturunterricht eignet. Die Antwort jedoch soll nicht etwa in einem simplen Bejahen oder Verneinen dieser Frage liegen. Vielmehr wird die Fragestellung durch Forschungen, die sich auf eigene unterrichtspraktische Tätigkeiten stützen, untersucht, indem eine Methode des offenen Unterrichts und somit der Binnendifferenzierung, das Stationenlernen, konkret in einer Schulklasse eines deutschen Gymnasium ein- und durchgeführt sowie mit geeigneten Instrumenten und Methoden evaluiert wird. Dabei soll die Einschätzung und Bewertung der teilenehmenden Schüler und beobachtenden Lehrpersonen von zentraler Bedeutung sein. Aufgrund der vorhandenen Einzelfallanalyse kann das Argument einer mangelnden Verallgemeinerbarkeit zwar nicht gänzlich von der Hand gewiesen, aber insofern entkräftet werden, als die gewählten Untersuchungsmethoden, die in Kapitel 3 dargestellt sind, valide Ergebnisse liefern, aus denen objektive Schlüsse gezogen und allgemeine Folgerungen abgeleitet werden können. Im Rahmen seiner Lehramtsausbildung und des absolvierten Einsatzes im Praxissemester erkennt der Verfasser vorliegender Arbeit deutlich die bereits angesprochenen Schwierigkeiten und Herausforderungen eines Unterrichts, der sich zum Ziel setzt, den unterschiedlichen Anforderungen, also den in einer Lerngruppe bestehenden Interessens- und Leistungsunterschieden sowie einem individuellen Förderbedarf gerecht zu werden. Für seine Praxislaufbahn erachtet er demnach die Kenntnis binnendifferenzierender Unterrichtskonzepte und offener Strukturen nicht nur als Schlüssel zum Erfolg, sondern vielmehr als notwendige Voraussetzung, um einen modernen Unterricht zu gestalten, welcher der Vielfalt an den Schulen adäquat begegnet. Gerade im literarischen Deutschunterricht bieten sich mannigfache Möglichkeiten, einen schülerzentrierten Unterricht umzusetzen, der hinsichtlich einer Methodenvielfalt, einer Alternierung der Arbeitsformen sowie dem Einsatz verschiedener Medien, um vorerst nur einige Ansatzpunkte zu nennen, das Individuum in den Vordergrund rückt, dessen Interessen und Bedürfnisse wahrnimmt und somit der Forderung nach mehr Binnendifferenzierung nachkommt.

A Splintered Vision: An Investigation of U.S. Science and Mathematics Education is the US report on the curriculum analysis component of the Third International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) which was sponsored by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA). Education is a hot topic. From the stage of presidential debates to tonight's dinner table, it is an issue that most Americans are deeply concerned about. While there are many strategies for improving the educational process, we need a way to find out what works and what doesn't work as well. Educational assessment seeks to determine just how well students are learning and is an integral part of our quest for improved education. The nation is pinning greater expectations on educational assessment than ever before. We look to these assessment tools when documenting whether students and institutions are truly meeting education goals. But we must stop and ask a crucial question: What kind of assessment is most effective? At a time when traditional testing is subject to increasing criticism, research suggests that new, exciting approaches to assessment may be on the horizon. Advances in the sciences of how people learn and how to measure such learning offer the hope of developing new kinds of assessments-assessments that help students succeed in school by making as clear as possible the nature of their accomplishments and the progress of their learning. Knowing What Students Know essentially explains how expanding knowledge in the scientific fields of human learning and educational measurement can form the foundations of an improved approach to assessment. These advances suggest ways that the targets of assessment-what students know and how well they know it-as well as the methods used to make inferences about student learning can be made more valid and instructionally useful. Principles for designing and using these new kinds of assessments are presented, and examples are used to illustrate the principles. Implications for policy, practice, and research are also explored. With the promise of a productive research-based approach to assessment of student learning, Knowing What Students Know will be important to education administrators, assessment designers, teachers and teacher educators, and education advocates.
