Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Soziale Arbeit / Sozialarbeit, Note: 1,7, Hochschule Merseburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Verfasserin absolvierte ein Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr in einem Kinder- und Jugenddorf. Außerdem hat sie während des Studiums im Amt für Jugend, Familie und Bildung, in der Abteilung Allgemeiner Sozialdienst ein Praxissemester abgelegt. In diesem Rahmen waren ihr Einblicke in die (stationäre) Kinder- und Jugendhilfe möglich und sie konnte eigene Erfahrungen gewinnen. Ihr wurde deutlich, dass die Anzahl der Kinder, die nicht mehr in ihrem Elternhaus leben können, zunehmend steigt. Nach der Erhebung des statistischen Bundesamtes lebten Ende 2011 65.000 Kinder und Jugendliche in einem Heim oder in einer sonstigen betreuten Wohnform (vgl. ohne Verfasser, 2012). Die Gründe für eine Heimunterbringung können höchst unterschiedlich sein. Jedes Kind ist bis zur Heimaufnahme seinen ganz individuellen Weg gegangen. Dieser Weg wurde häufig von negativen Erlebnissen, wie z. B. Beziehungsabbruch, psychische oder physische Gewalt, sexueller Missbrauch bis hin zu lebensbedrohlichen Situationen, denen die Kinder ausgesetzt waren, begleitet (vgl. Kormann, 1996, S. 43). Eine stationäre Wohnform bietet den Kindern einerseits einen geschützten Rahmen, und andererseits ist sie eine große Chance, für ihre weitere Entwicklung (vgl. Günder, 1999, S. 112). Für die kindliche Entwicklung ist ein stabiles und emotionales Umfeld in den ersten Lebensjahren besonders wichtig. Dadurch erwerben die Kinder Kompetenzen die sie befähigen, handlungsfähig und eigenständig zu werden. Durch die erworbenen Kompetenzen wird deutlich, wie die Kinder zukünftig Anforderungen und Entwicklungsaufgaben bewältigen können. Der Einfluss des sozialen Umfeldes ist sehr prägend und darf nicht unterschätzt werden (vgl. Textor, EJ unbekannt, Abschnitt: Zur Bedeutung sozial-emotionaler Entwicklung im frühen Kindesalter).
