Local busybody Marjorie Cuthbertson is on the hunt for her leading lady – and who better to play the icy queen than beautiful new resident, ex-model Joan Dryden. But as interested as they are in their new neighbours, the residents of Frog End remain wary of the Dryden family, considering them aloof Londoners. Mystery is about to engulf the village however when a cast member collapses and dies at a Christmas party, having consumed a rogue mince pie. Was the death an accident – or was it a malicious revenge strategy masked as an allergic reaction? The Colonel makes it his business to find out.

This book is a broad survey of our 'sacred texts, ' both Holy Writ and secular masterpieces, whose canonical status often exempt them from hardnosed, commonsense criticism. A frank look at this literature is necessary and reveals a stunning combination of bias and blindness toward women

A Poisonous Thorn In Our Hearts written by James Copnall and has been published by Hurst & Company Limited this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014 with History categories.

What happened after Africa's biggest country split in two? When South Sudan ran up its flag in July 2011, two new nations came into being. In South Sudan a former rebel movement faces colossal challenges in building a new country. At independence it was one of the least developed places on earth, after decades of conflict and neglect. The '"rump state'", Sudan, has been debilitated by devastating civil wars, including in Darfur, and lost a significant part of its territory, and most of its oil wealth, after the divorce from the South. In the years after separation, the two Sudans dealt with crippling economic challenges, struggled with new and old rebellions, and fought each other along their disputed border. Benefiting from unsurpassed access to the politicians, rebels, thinkers and events that are shaping the Sudans, Copnall draws a compelling portrait of two misunderstood countries. A Poisonous Thorn in Our Hearts argues that Sudan and South Sudan remain deeply interdependent, despite their separation. It also diagnoses the political failings that threaten the future of both countries. The author puts the turmoil of the years after separation into a broader context, reflecting the voices, hopes and experiences of Sudanese and South Sudanese from all walks of life.

Venom Of A Bitter Woman written by Doreen C. Mampani and has been published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-09-13 with categories.

The title Venom in the Heart of a Woman is about women who can be very wicked towards their own children, grand-children, relatives and people in general. I met people who are so cruel they don't reverence God. They regard themselves so powerful as though they will not die one day. I personally believe that men can be cruel but not like women. I thank God of heaven for giving me, my husband and daughter life and really protecting us day and night. While writing about the bad things my mother and people did to me, God laid upon my heart to write this book. In this book I talk about my painful experience which God has used for my good. Satan planned to destroy me but God worked it out for my good. Poverty had it worst torment on Katalay, myself and my child. I was offered a job and did not have money to pay transport, accommodation and a nanny for L'amour. I was offered another job but with very devious conditions so I declined. I walked and sometimes with L'amour for up to 10 km. We walked in the sun, in the cold and sometimes in the rain without a rain coat or umbrella. Relatives and neighbors watched us suffer without offering no help. I must say we had such hardship in our local African church that I decided we must find a "White Afrikaans Church." I say this not because the brethren did not choose so but L'amour and I were the only Black people when we first went there. They welcomed us and showed us love.
