In een onbewogen kustplaatsje, net buiten Kopenhagen, schijnt er een verdacht licht op de bodem van de haven. Even later wordt er in het meer van een bos het levenloze en ijskoude lichaam van nog een vrouw gevonden, met littekens die lijken op die van de andere slachtoffers. Ze zou de voornaamste getuige van de politie kunnen zijn – als ze haar uit de dood konden terughalen. Black Notice is een bloedstollende Scandi noir over een internationale jacht op een sadistische en meedogenloze seriemoordenaar. Het verhaal is voor een deel gebaseerd op waargebeurde misdrijven en een uitstekende keuze voor fans van de boeken van Jo Nesbo, Samuel Bjork en Cara Hunter. Lotte Petri is een Deense auteur van misdaadromans.
