Diese Arbeit wird in mehrere Abschnitte aufgeteilt, um das Verständnis einfacher zu gestalten. Im ersten Abschnitt werden die Grundlagen zur KI und Blockchain näher erläutert. Dabei werden die Arten der jeweiligen Technologien erklärt sowie die wichtigsten Eigenschaften von maschinellem Lernen bei der KI oder Smart Contracts bei der Blockchain benannt. Dies ist von großer Bedeutung, um die späteren Thematiken im Hauptteil besser zu verstehen. Im nächsten Abschnitt wird auf die Beschaffung eingegangen. Zunächst wird kurz erklärt, was man unter dem Begriff Beschaffung bzw. Einkauf versteht und was die strategische und operative Beschaffung verkörpern. Anschließend wird auf die gegenwärtigen Arbeits- und Rahmenbedingungen eingegangen, deren Funktionsweisen innerhalb der Beschaffungsbranche und welche Prozesse wie stattfinden. Zum Schluss dieses Abschnitts werden die Probleme der gegenwärtigen Funktionsweisen verdeutlicht und damit dargestellt, inwiefern diese Prozesse bald gänzlich veraltet sind. Im weiteren Verlauf der Arbeit werden die Potenziale der Blockchain und KI für den Beschaffungsmarkt dargestellt. Daraufhin folgen mehrere Beispiele von Anwendungen, wie sie in verschiedenen Unternehmen eingesetzt oder von verschiedenen Firmen erstellt wurden. Der vorletzte Abschnitt umfasst eine kritische Bewertung der Blockchain-Technologie und der Künstlichen Intelligenz. Es werden die Risiken der beiden Techniken aufgezeigt und eventuelle Nutzungsblockaden analysiert. Am Ende folgt das Fazit, wo alle wichtigen Erkenntnisse aus der Arbeit zusammengefasst werden und ein Ausblick auf die Zukunft der Technologien Blockchain und Künstliche Intelligenz gegeben wird.
