Most communication is non-verbal. The way we walk, move and look is an expression of who we are and what we think. Our body is constantly signing the world who we are and what we want. It is a constant interaction with our environment. We are constantly reading other people and unconsciously try to understand their signs. When confronted with another culture we face the “translation” problem. We are not able to grasp the right meaning in the context of the moment. There is no possibility to mirror the movements as they are different of our own. There is a communication gap which can create problems. When cultures are vastly different the gap is even larger. How can we bridge this to create understanding and come to results? This book is focused on informing the reader about the Chinese / Western gaps, the differences, and similarities. The reason why we focus on this population in Asia is that their influence stretches over thousands of years and through emigration they did influence many other countries in Asia. In total worldwide it is considered there are over 2.3 billion Chinese at the moment and still growing. Hereby we look at different generations. Sometimes we show the past, the current time and what is expected to happen in the future. Through different levels of communications, the world is slowly moving in a common public direction. But the situation changes in a more private setting for business meetings, personal contacts and in a relationship.

An innovative new book finally combining the best of Eastern and Western medicine. For too long, Western and Eastern medicine have been at odds. Western clinicians dismiss Eastern medicine as too focused on pills and short-term solutions. The truth is that these traditions work best in tandem. Finally, Balances Traditions combines the knowledge from these two branches of healthcare and reveals the optimal path to good health. Dr. Tracy Rosa began her journey with a surprise Hepatitis C diagnosis. Faced with an apparent choice between holistic medicine and Western medication, Dr. Rosa was inspired to design a new integrative, evidence-based, and holistic approach that would serve patients better than being forced into a false choice between two worlds. By treating Eastern and Western medicine as allies and partners, rather than rivals, and by tapping into the metaphysical realm of emotional, stress- and trauma-related body responses, Dr. Rosa charts a new path toward optimal physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, wherein the very serious flaws and gaps in the world’s medical systems were exposed, it became clear that a revolutionary new approach to healthcare was needed. Dr. Rosa’s methods will help you release the limitations of your past, stretch your tolerance for what arises in the present, and foster hope for the future. Dr. Tracy Rosa is a metaphysician and a hands-on healing spiritual minister. She is the innovator behind Balancing Traditions’ unique, integrative, and evidence-based approach to healing and fostering mental and physical wellbeing. In her practice, she works in partnership with Western medical specialists to deliver the best possible care to her clients. Her new holistic and energetic approach to healing focuses the entire person: mind, brain, body, soul, and spirit.

Intelligence Analysis written by Wayne Michael Hall and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-12-22 with Political Science categories.

This book offers a vast conceptual and theoretical exploration of the ways intelligence analysis must change in order to succeed against today's most dangerous combatants and most complex irregular theatres of conflict. Intelligence Analysis: How to Think in Complex Environments fills a void in the existing literature on contemporary warfare by examining the theoretical and conceptual foundations of effective modern intelligence analysis—the type of analysis needed to support military operations in modern, complex operational environments. This volume is an expert guide for rethinking intelligence analysis and understanding the true nature of the operational environment, adversaries, and most importantly, the populace. Intelligence Analysis proposes substantive improvements in the way the U.S. national security system interprets intelligence, drawing on the groundbreaking work of theorists ranging from Carl von Clauswitz and Sun Tzu to M. Mitchell Waldrop, General David Petraeus, Richards Heuer, Jr., Orson Scott Card, and others. The new ideas presented here will help the nation to amass a formidable, cumulative intelligence power, with distinct advantages over any and all adversaries of the future regardless of the level of war or type of operational environment.

Butting Out written by Ananya Chatterjea and has been published by Wesleyan University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-12-28 with Performing Arts categories.

First major study of two important contemporary female dancers. Jawole Willa Jo Zollar and Chandralekha are major choreographers of the 20th century whose work will leave the dance field with a legacy as important and strong as that of Martha Graham and Doris Humphrey. Zollar is Artistic Director of the world-renowned company, The Urban Bush Women (based in New York City), and Chandralekha is an Indian choreographer (based in Madras) who has performed internationally and is known for her radical mixing of postmodern and traditional dance forms. In this nuanced and in-depth study, dance scholar Ananya Chatterjea shows how each of these choreographers has positioned herself through performance in terms of gender, race, and nationality. Reading each dancer's major works in order to assess their unique contributions to the development of global culture, Butting Out does important theoretical work to identify common threads in the history of cultural production and the aesthetic philosophies of the artists. Chatterjea draws on theory from an array of complementary fields, including women's studies, African-American studies, and postcolonial studies. The book is beautifully enhanced by 42 black and white photographs.
