Lecture Notes: Urology is a best-selling concise introduction to urology, presenting the essential core knowledge for medical students and junior doctors. It emphasises clinical presentations and diagnostic problem-solving, providing an integrated approach to understanding the renal system and urinary tract. This new edition has been fully revised and re-written with a new format, design and artwork, and now includes a section on interstitial brachytherapy for early prostate cancer and laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, coverage of imaging and surgical techniques, and a self-assessment section of MCQs. It explains all the important aspects of urology in a simple, clearly written and concise way, with a comprehensive overview of normal structure and function, and guidance on the specifics of history and examination relevant to this body system. It systematically covers the pathology of the diseases which affect normal function, explaining the principles of treatment and management. Lecture Notes: Urology will prove invaluable as a well-balanced introduction to urology and a rapid revision guide for final exams for junior doctors, medical students and allied health professionals. Reviews of the previous edition "...this work provides a highly comprehensive and approachable guide to urology." Office Urology written by Elroy D. Kursh and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-08-01 with Medical categories.

In the preface of this offering the editors claim that they present a fresh, practical and concise textbook, covering vital issues that the urologist must face on a daily basis in the office. This claim is certainly justified and, as a basic text for the general urologist or urological trainee, I found it to be quite superb. it is very consistent in style and standard While the authorship contains many of the famous names of urology, the presented material benefits greatly from the coal-face experience' of the majority of the authors. The full range of general urology is covered, and while topics are presented in a didactic manner, the opinions presented are fair and well balanced. It is comprehensive, authoritative and extremely useful for the general urologist. I certainly intend referring to it and can see a requirement for future editions as changes in office urological practice occur. - British Journal of Surgery

Clinical Urology Illustrated written by R.B. Brown and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Medical categories.

In this precise and authoritative urological text Mr Ronald Brown and his associates have scored two firsts. In its emphasis throughout on the im portance of clinical assessment, history taking and physical examination, together with its wealth of illustrations, it offers a' unique view of genitourinary medicine; and it is the first clinical urology text to be written by an Australian. The authors' approach to their subject is ideal for students and physicians confronted with patients with genitourinary problems. The text is concise, the references valuable and the index comprehensive. I was particularly in terested in the chapter on Paediatric Urology with its admirably succinct of hypospadias, but the outstanding feature of the whole book discussion is the line drawings and illustrative x-rays, not only excellent in themselves but in their presentation: the clear uncrowded layout making it easy for the reader to consult the appropriate illustration nearby, and where helpful there has been no hesitation in using the same diagram in several different places. If my students know everything that's in this book they will know more than most urologists. It is especially gratifying to me to see this fine book emanate from Australia and to know that four of the authors have had their stimulus to excellence in work here at UCLA.
