This book is about how we need a savior. The penalty for sin is death, but Christ takes our sins and saves our souls when we accept him. This book deals with the issues of life without Christ—how we live in a sinful world, cursed by God, until you accept his son Jesus. Did you ever wonder why your life is so messed up, even though you might be a good person? In this book I explain why: it’s because if you’re not born again—saved by the cross of Christ and the blood of Christ—you’re living in a world that God cursed. On the cross Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law so that we could be blessed by God again, reconciled back to God, and put in good right standing with him again. Jesus did all this on the cross for us. In the book I explain what happened to man because of sin in the Scriptures, and what happens to us when we accept Jesus. God loves us and made a way to get out of sin, be blessed again, and escape hell. Jesus did all of that for us. I explain it in the Word of God in this book and break it down so that you can understand salvation. If you die and never accept Jesus in your life, Revelation 20:15-20 says you will go to hell. That’s the gospel truth. It doesn’t cost us anything to be saved—just a prayer and inviting Jesus into your heart and life. It cost him everything, but he did it because he loved us.

It is about faith, my recovery from my alcoholism, pornography, and my church experiences after the revelation of my affair. I am not alone in my struggle and would like this to reach just one man to help him get honest about his sin and encourage the church to be more open to sinners. The church is broken in many ways' years of pleasantries and hollow worship, dependent on tradition while keeping appearances up. I have almost proved them ineffective those who struggle with sin. While in church, one would almost get the impression that good-mannered church folk is immune from the secular world's temptations and struggles. The struggles of the world are the same struggles of the church; sin is nothing new. I struggled with my faith for many years, once brought to my knees by my alcoholism. I found a relationship with God in the rooms of recovery and began attending church with the burden of pornography addiction on my back. The physical affair that followed and its revelation in the cruelest of manners. Would test my faith and my view of the church and force me to my knees again. I became desperate for the love of Christ.

Johanna I love that the book's plotline is simple and easy for children to follow and yet there are so many layers of Spiritual depths you can dig into. There are Scriptures that are highlighted in the book that you can help your child memorize. It also leads into a natural conversation about salvation and accepting Jesus' sacrifice for us to pay for our sins. It explains our own brokenness and how we cannot fix ourselves but only God can make us new. The illustrations are beautiful. God is determined to destroy this corrupted earth and Satan with it to get rid of sin altogether, but He is also determined to restore man and save man from His wrath and the destruction to come. God sent a flood to destroy sinful man from the earth, but as man multiplied again in the earth, so did sin. The Lord then chose a people of Israel to be His chosen people. He blessed and prospered them to make the rest of the world be jealous of the God of Israel that they would forsake their gods and seek after the God of Israel. Israel, however, turned to the gods of these nations instead that God had to reject His people. God then sent His own Son Who never sinned, and therefore, death had no control over Him. Having conquered sin and death, Jesus has taken back control of the earth, and the devil is cast out of heaven and have no more access to heaven. Man is therefore restored, but he had to trust in Jesus and what He has done to be redeemed back to God. This is the way of salvation, and God now has accomplished that which was His desire since Adam.
