Everyone has a story; this book just happens to be a glimpse into the story of my life. I guess you can say it's the story of many lives. As I traveled through life's journey, I met many who had similar, if not the same story. My life was tumultuous; I grew from a broken child to a broken woman. Despite the trials and tribulations life threw at me, I was blessed with five beautiful children, and I embraced every ounce of good times when they did happen. I was the oldest, as a child I had adult responsibilities and I had to grow up fast. I am a survivor of molestation, some may call themselves a victim, but not me. The struggle was hard, because it changed the course of my life, but I knew I had to preserver. I married way to young, although my children loved me unconditionally, I was never able to find that kind of love from a man. I was inspired to write my story, because no child should have to suffer at the actions of a molester. The person who is supposed to love and take care of them, would take the very thing that protected that child, their innocence. Their first line of defense had been destroyed, and the child is left with nothing but pain and confusion. Generation after generation of molestation is repeated and kept quit as a dirty little secret. My prayer is the following pages will bring hope, freedom, triumph and relief for those who were met with the same fate. This is my story.

Everything we endured in life is a lesson, at least that's how I see it. Most time people will say things like you're stupid, crazy, or dumb because you love who you love. You would always hear she needs to leave him he not no good for her. The main ones talking and putting the next person down life be worst than yours a total disaster. This broken girl is me and I made it with the help of God and you can do the same to, just never lose faith in God. To my readers I hope you enjoyed the book, I hope my story helped or touched someone who was in this very same battle of love. I gave all thanks to God who has never left my side and always made a way for me and my kids. To my kids, I know you will sit down and read this book one day and have many questions just know your father loved y'all unconditionally and he would've done just about anything to make sure y'all had everything in the world. I want you to follow me, and take a look into the life of a troubled child. A child that by those whom she trusted was sexually, mentally and physically abused. That child I speak of is I. I was mothered by a woman who was not prepared to care for her seven children. My mother was a heavy drug user. She physically and mentally abused us. She wasn't always a "junkie" as some may title it, but once she started it only got worst. As the years past, each child took a different path. Homeless and prostituted I was forced to become an adult. Being a mother my self I have learned to comprehend the difficulty of raising a child; however I do not excuse her behavior. I have struggled incessantly to forgive her, and now that I am able to tell her so, she is not able to hear it. RIP Rosa Alvarez.
