All systems need internal accounting controls to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of the system's data. This book shows how to identify the proper controls for your system, and how to build and document internal control as part of the formal systems development process. Phase-related control (PRC) is the process of specifying and documenting the internal controls appropriate to each systems development life cycle stage.

Guidelines For Design Of Low Rise Buildings Subjected To Lateral Forces written by Ajaya Kumar Gupta and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-11-25 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Guidelines for Design of Low-Rise Buildings Subjected to Lateral Forces is a concise guide that identifies performance issues, concerns, and research needs associated with low-rise buildings. The book begins with an introduction that discusses special problems with low-rise buildings subjected to wind and earthquakes. Chapter 2 examines probabilistic methods and their use in evaluating risks from natural hazards. It also addresses the characteristics of wind and seismic forces and levels of risk implied by building codes. Wind forces are covered in more detail in Chapter 3, with discussions of wind force concepts and wind-structure interactions. Chapter 4 is devoted to earthquake forces and traces the development of building codes for earthquake resistant design. Chapter 5 describes the main framing systems used to resist lateral forces and discusses the code requirements for drift control. The designs and requirements for connections between building elements are addressed in Chapter 6. It includes examples along with several illustrations of suitable connections. The performance of non-structural elements during wind and earthquake forces is also examined in detail. This book serves as an important reference for civil engineers, construction engineers, architects, and anyone concerned with structural codes and standards. It is an excellent guide that can be used to supplement design recommendations and provide a design basis where there are no current requirements.

Novel Precast Concrete Structure Systems written by Gang Wu and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-01-07 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book systematically presents these findings for the first time, focusing on the composition, force mode, structural characteristics, performance advantages, and calculation methods for each new structural system, and comparing each one with traditional structural systems. In view of the persistent problems in the current equivalent cast in situ precast concrete structural systems and the development of non-equivalent cast in situ precast concrete structure systems, Southeast University and Harbin Institute of Technology have conducted extensive research and proposed several new types of precast concrete structural systems. Their findings in this regard can promote the development of basic theories and technologies for building industrialization, accelerate the advancement of China's building industrialization, promote the application of precast building technology, and realize the concept of green building.

Active Control Of Bidirectional Structural Vibration written by Wen Yu and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-06-05 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book focuses on safeguarding civil structures and residents from natural hazards such as earthquakes through the use of active control. It proposes novel proportional-derivative (PD) and proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers, as well as discrete-time sliding mode controllers (DSMCs) for the vibration control of structures involving nonlinearities. Fuzzy logic techniques are used to compensate for nonlinearities. The first part of the book addresses modelling and feedback control in inelastic structures and presents a design for PD/PID controllers. In the second part, classical PD/PID and type-2 fuzzy control techniques are combined to compensate for uncertainties in the structures of buildings. The methodology for tuning the gains of PD/PID is obtained using Lyapunov stability theory, and the system’s stability is verified. Lastly, the book puts forward a DSMC design that does not require system parameters, allowing it to be more flexibly applied. All program codes used in the paper are presented in a MATLAB®/Simulink® environment. Given its scope, the book will be of interest to mechanical and civil engineers, and to advanced undergraduate and graduate engineering students in the areas of structural engineering, structural vibration, and advanced control.
