Annihiler la cinquième langue la plus parlée au monde n'était pas une mince affaire. Mais si nous continuons sur notre lancée autodestructrice, à l'horizon 2030, ce sera joué. Que faire ? C'est par l'apprentissage systématique de la langue - dans ce qu'elle a de plus beau et de plus emblématique - que nous pouvons échapper au sort qui nous est promis par le néolibéralisme : intégrer et assimiler la mosaïque de populations qui se pressent sur notre territoire. C'est par la langue que nous pouvons résoudre les tensions entre "communautés" - un joli mot inventé pour faire croire qu'il n'y a plus de communauté unique des citoyens français. C'est par la langue que nous pouvons résister à la déferlante de cette mondialisation qui prétend nous éparpiller façon puzzle.
